  AC was problematic the entire weekend. Owners knew it in advance but were notified too late on holiday weekend so could not make other arrangements. House had lots of amenities but needed to declutter to make more appropriate for a rental. Worked with property management company for partial refund bc of air issues. Even with that we would not rebook or recommend property in the future.

• Last minute cancel

  My adult children and husband had all taken off from work so we could spend a 4 day weekend together. We were very much looking forward to this. I was shocked to receive an email the day before, informing me this booking was canceled with no explanation to why. Giving me less than 24 hours to find a new location, I had paid in full and have a good rating with VRBO. This is absolutely unacceptable.

• No heat, no air conditioning and no hot water!

  We were very dissatisfied with our stay. There was no heat or air conditioning. In addition, the hot water did not work. We had an infant and a young toddler with us which made this difficult. Not to mention doing dishes. Also, my daughter found several cold pills on the floor in her room where her toddler was playing on the floor. We have reached out to both the rental agency and Vrbo and they have offered to compensate 6% of our total fees. We also read that the heat/AC did not work for another guests stay. This is absurd! We are very disappointed with VRBO

• Hot and bothered

  Place was more then we expected until a couple hours in with no A/C. Got there and the windows were open but never thought anything of it until it kept getting warmer n warmer. Cool outside so we opened the place back up because the A/C was blowing out at 79 degrees. Contact the owner and he knew they were open by some app he has or just plan spying on us, said the close all the doors and windows and it will cool off. Well we tried that will no avail. He supposedly called a company to come out, which I do not believe he did because the never showed the whole time we were there. We went out n bought fans to somewhat keep us cool. I called some local companies and 2 said they could come out in 2 hours 2 look but may not fix right away depending on parts so I know he was lying. So in the end they sided with the owner who claimed to have documentation showing the temperature was dropping in the house which he never stepped foot in the house. Sure a degree or 2 by us putting fans out. Pictures show several different occasions with pictures of a thermostat the the owner controls n has us locked out of. The upstair area which get the hottest was locked also n not working at all with a small a/c sitting on a table to use in the bedroom. VERY unpleasant. Extremely nice house except for the a/c problem and in the end offering a 20 percent discount. Owner stopped taking my calls

• Beautiful Place, Needs Deeper Clean

  My family and I stayed here for the Clemson game. The home is beautiful and exactly what we were looking for, but there are a few things that need to be addressed. My family arrived to the home and the code to enter was not working. Management gave us a different code but the handle was locked as well. A key was needed; after an hour, management was able to get my family into the home. Then there were cleaning issues. There was toothpaste residue in the sinks; tissues, bottles, cups, and cans in some bedrooms form previous guests. Crumbs were also left under the dining room table. As we were leaving we stripped the beds to find stained pillows and linens. Some rooms are fine, but others need to get new pillows and linens. Other than these things we had a great stay and was impressed by the home.
