  While the house, on the inside, was just as projected, the outside was not represented as such. This house is literally less than a foot from a very old and dated mobile home that was not in good shape at all. The parking area had junk car, motorcycle and lawn mower in front of the mobile home. The walk from the house to the pier/lake rounded you within 3 or 4 feet of the mobile home. The trail to the pier was very rough with roots and rocks all the way down to the pier. We asked one of the neighbors if we could use theirs as it was actually made of wood and trip hazards were minimal compared to the one we were to use for the house. I would post pictures if there was a place to post them as the pictures on VRBO are not representative of this property. I would not suggest this property if you have small children due to the rough terrain to get to the lake.

• Horrible communication

  The stay was fine but afterwards my husband left his wedding ring on the nightstand which fell under the bed at some point. He forgot to grab it the next morning. After check out I messaged the Evolve company, the only contact available, and did not get any kind of response until a week later. Then it was a half hearted “oh we are sorry we will look into it.” Never heard from them again. Terrible customer service.

• Weekend stay

  Nice renovation with all the basics. Listing and reviews accurate. Dock in good shape but path is only for people with good mobility. Trailer behind this house is literally a few feet from the lower deck but no one was there during our trip. Upper deck is a great spot for a morning cup of coffee.

  This home was good for a short stay! The furniture was comfortable and it was clean. The neighbors by the back patio are very close. I could probably have touched them with a broom. You can kind of see the trailer next to it in the photos, but it made relaxing on the back patio a little bit awkward for us. We were also not able to watch tv because the connection was so spotty. They had a Roku TV, but it wouldn’t connect. If you’re going to relax and get away from all of that it’s great- we were just wanting to watch a NFL game. Check in and out was easy. There were a few bugs, but you expect that in the woods. Make sure to bring all of your essentials!
