5/5 In short… best VRBO yet! The host was very responsive, particularly when we had to reschedule. The location is lovely, with breathtaking sunrises over the misty lake each morning, and stunning moonrises as well… filling the night sky with a bright glow. The house itself is also stunning — spotless, spacious, and so tastefully decorated. Though it was just the two of us, the home can easily accommodate 9 or 10, with one king, one queen, and five bunks — one a full-size bunk, which could sleep 2 children. The main level has two bedrooms, and two full baths, large living room, full-size kitchen, and a dining area. Another small bedroom is on the upper level, and the lower level is a separate unit, with two bedrooms, full bath, and living and dining area. The three levels make this home ideal for two families to share in comfort. Add in a large, covered deck, hot tub, and expansive lawn leading down to the dock on the lake, where you can enjoy those sunrises and moonrises. Good dining options in the Campobello/Inman area, and Greenville and Spartanburg are easy drives, both pretty, clean, hospitable southern cities. For enjoyable day trips, there the mountains in nearby NC, or a drive to Lake Keowee. We fully enjoyed our stay at the Lake Bowen house, and look forward to when we can return again to this wonderful part of SC. Southern hospitality is not an exaggeration! And did we mention… the house is SPOTLESS! Sincere thanks to the hosts, for sharing their gorgeous home with us.
