Arrived at dark, no lighting on the property or house— we had to use our car lights to unload our things. Porch and deck covered with leaves. Went to bed, awoke to cobwebs on windows and layers of dust on the blinds. Found the air filter to the house layered with dust. We also found the leaf blower in the closet but did not have time to deal with it ourselves. Drawers in kitchen dirty with debris. Found the vacuum under a large quilt in a disheveled closet in the master. No room to hand clothes with the disorganization. My first instinct was to vacuum, dust and clean the place up, but that’s not what we came there for.. Called property manager who sent a cleaning crew out. Came back to the property after the cleaning, leaves were now gone and house was much cleaner, with air filters also being changed. We could now walk into the house without dragging in leaves. However, shouldn’t this cleaning been done BEFORE we arrived??

Also considerable ants on property, expected in the woods however they do swarm your cars and even into the master closet and kitchen. No offer for restitution has been made , despite paying for a cleaning fee upfront and being assured the property was “ready” before we checked in. Beautiful view but we would not stay here again with all of the above.

  • Water fun

My family and I had a relaxing week! The house is nice except for the ant problem. We used the kayaks and rented a boat from the local marina and had a great time!

    Manager's Response:

Hi Cindy, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We strive to ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience with us and provide high standards of hospitality. We're so happy to hear that you and your family had a relaxing week! While we do our very best to provide a comfortable environment, we recognize that ants can be a challenging issue for our guests. As the house is near the water and your stay was in the peak of summertime, ants are prevalent in the area. We kindly remind guests to be mindful of leaving their food out or having doors and windows open in the home. We're sorry that this concern impacted your stay. Guests can rest assured that we have a specialist who heavily monitors for ants and diligently maintains the home. We truly go above and beyond, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays.

  • A wonderful time… will stay there again

The views and location of house are perfect, far enough away for quiet relaxing time, but close enough to restaurants and other people. Very happy with it.

  • Great Little Place

Great place to relax on the lake; cute little cottage feel. The property management team is EXCELLENT at responding to requests and took such good care of us.

The one downside is the condition of the property. Things were generally clean (you don't feel gross staying here), but there are little things like some mold in the cabinets, the front steps are messed up and are kinda dangerous, and the place needs a deep clean in the closets and other less obvious areas. I would stay again, but it would be really nice if there was a little more attention to detail.

  • On High

Able to check off a bucket list item! For many years on our lake trips, we’ve seen this house tucked up in the trees and wondered about it. Now, we’ve had a chance to stay there and really enjoyed it. House is showing its age somewhat but everything worked as it should. With realistic expectations for a converted mobile home situated on a high, sloped lot, we feel like any small family or group would like staying there. Birdwatchers would probably be in paradise!
