  I don't typically like to leave negative reviews however I felt deceived by the current reviews for this cottage as well as the description does not exactly align with the actual experience.

  My wife and I checked in after a 5 hour drive and my wife needed to use the bathroom first thing, we quickly learned that the toilet was clogged that required 4 flushes to clear out, the other problem wa that the toilet tank took nearly 5 minutes to refill making the the 4 flushes nearly a 20 minute effort.

  I had the same experience when using the bathroom 30 mins later. I preceeded to email the local contact regarding the issue and recieved a call 30 minutes later leasrning the the local contact is the owner. She was friendly and stated she had called her plumber out and he would be there within an hour. He did arrive and attempted to clear the drain but said he needed to go get another tool to clear the drain, he returend approximately and hour later and after 30-45 minutes was able to clear the clogged drain. We spent out first 3 hours at the place delain with that.

  While the cottage was in "okay" condition and semi-clean, my wife felt the need to wash any dishes before using them as there seemed to be a sticky film on them.

  The water pressure in the bathroom was so bad that it was nearly impossible to take a shower was the water just trickled from the shower head.

  On a good note, the queen bed was very comfortable and after learning how to adjust the temperature on the two different HVAC units, the temperature was comfortable.

  My wife and I tried to make the best of the situation however ended up checking out a day early as we were disappointed with the experience.

  Our stay at the Southside Cottage was so lovely! It was comfortable, well appointed, the beds had great mattresses and pillows were so comfortable. I loved the walk in shower and the coffee left for us was delicious. It was an outstanding stay. We did get to meet the host, Lana, who is the sweetest lady ever. We became instant friends. Can't wait to go back.

  We had a four night stay for my brothers graduation from USMC bootcamp. The main issue i experienced was the bathroom door not closing all the way which created an inconvenience at times with family members staying at the house
