  Loved the area we stayed in. Quiet neighborhood. Quick walk to the beach. The beach was great, not crowded at all. Easy to get to many activities around the area. The house was clean and looked exactly how it was described. Property management responded quickly to questions. Would book same house again if we go to the area in the future!

  We stayed here over the Fourth of July holiday and had a great time! It’s a bit of a walk to the beach, so I recommend having a beach cart or wagon, maybe renting a golf cart (it had space to park them). The home was well equipped with everything needed (spices, dishes, pots/pans, etc.). The beds and pillows were very comfy, this was big for me! No one wants to wake up from an uncomfortable night of sleep. It was quick to get to shopping and activities, Barefoot Landing was right around the corner. We had some delicious ice cream at Sugar Life (also around the corner). Check-in and check-out was smooth and easy. Great place to stay if you are bringing your fur babies.

• Beautiful newly remodeled home

  The home is beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you might need for cooking a basic meal, linens, light cleaning, etc. It appears to have all new appliances. Had plenty of nice chairs we could take to the beach, a wheeled cart, yard games, and a beach umbrella. Comfortable furniture and beds throughout. Excellent closet spaces in all the bedrooms. Large flatscreens in living room and master bedroom, Wi-Fi worked well, and had cable tv as well as Roku options. Location is nice to be able to walk to the beach. It is about .3 miles. Atlantic beach is much less crowded than neighboring areas with free parking if you do want to drive equipment to the beach. The less crowded beach area was perfect for taking our dog to the beach. I was disappointed that on a few nights, residents of neighboring houses were quite loud until 2 AM and there was a strong smell of marijuana affecting our enjoyment of the backyard at times. I’m not sure I would have felt safe walking to/from the beach at night unless with a group, but maybe this is to be expected anywhere in the Myrtle Beach area? I didn’t have any issues during daylight hours.Overall, we had a great stay and we were happy that our dog could stay with us and enjoy the beach. The owners have done a fantastic job with renovating this property!

  The interior of the home was cute and welcoming. Moisture issues in home. Disappointed in curb appeal.Bad location, drug addicts laying in the road. surrounding homes look like shacks. While we had no issues I would not rent again due to location and moisture issues.

  Cynthia, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -We're glad that you appreciated the interior of our home. We tend to disagree about the curb appeal of our home and feel the pictures speak for themselves. In regards to the homes that look like "shacks", this is a historic neighborhood, and therefore, older/smaller homes are interspersed with newly constructed and renovated homes as well. Although some homes date back to the 60s and 70s, the town is quite strict about homeowners keeping facades clean and well-kept.
  - We investigated the moisture issues and this is being addressed with gutter installation, crawl space upgrade, and floor renovation.
  Being so close to the beach, moisture in homes can be problematic. The AC is set at a higher temperature when guests arrive, so it may seem a little muggy on a super hot day. Once guests adjust it to a lower temperature if needed, it usually takes care of any moisture issues. We also have a portable dehumidifier which works amazingly well for the entire home, should a guest decide that they need to use it. Furthermore, we investigated the moisture issues and this is being addressed with a gutter installation, crawl space upgrade, and floor renovation.
  -No guests have ever mentioned “drug addicts laying in the road”, nor have we ever heard of this issue. We just want to assure all guests that the town of Atlantic Beach has the lowest crime rates in all of the Grand Strand, which extends 30 miles. Furthermore, if one sees someone in distress in the middle of the road, we would hope that the proper authorities would be called to help that person.
