  Unfortunately our stay was less than perfect. Within hours of being at the home our daughter’s feet were filthy. The floors had not been cleaned or mopped before we arrived. For a check in at 4pm you would expect the home to be spotless. Host did come and mop the floors when we went out one day and was apologetic but it should have not been needed if it was properly cleaned. Bedroom dresser drawers full of hair and exposed insulation above the kitchen sink were not what we would expect to find in a highly rated rental. Listing states that stairs are required to access the property but it was a flight of over a dozen that did not lend accessibility to some guests. We have small children (3 year old and 4 month old) and the stairs inside were extremely dangerous to get to and from the bedrooms. Internet router stopped working while we were staying there and a “Verizon” tech was sent to the property. The technician did not arrive in a company vehicle or provide credentials and was wearing beach attire. While we appreciated the turnaround time to fix the internet, it felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Air conditioner units as well as the fridge water/ice machine are full of what appears to be mold and we had to buy bottled water for the week. Lots of extension chords and questionable electric around the house including hanging chords in bedrooms. We believe that the owner/host does have the best intentions. When we did need to reach out he did respond in a timely manner.

  – The floors should’ve been spotless at check-in, and we regret that this wasn’t the case. Once notified, we immediately took care of the issue. The A/C unit and refrigerator dispenser were inspected after checkout; no mold was found. There was some dust and condensation on the A/C grill and reflections on the refrigerator flap and gasket. Both were wiped clean to remove buildup.
  – This home, built in the 1930s, has some quirks typical of its era. A small piece of insulation in the kitchen ceiling was not fully tucked in, and we’re addressing it. Extension cords were provided to help lamps and clocks reach outlets, and while they’re safe, we’re making changes so they appear neater.
  – We accurately advertise the property as a two-story home with stairs. Taller, steeper steps are common for homes of this era, but we’re updating the listing so it’s even clearer moving forward.
  – The individual who came to restore service is a recently retired Verizon technician who originally set up the system. He kindly came over in personal attire to fix the outage right away, and we were present to ensure the work went smoothly.
  The homeowner takes pride in creating a welcoming environment for guests. Thank you for your feedback, and we’ll continue working together so future guests enjoy wonderful stays.

• Perfect Weekend Escape with Wonderful Hospitality

  We enjoyed a relaxing weekend getaway with family, and this property exceeded our expectations. The location is ideal—just a short, scenic walk to Matunuck’s beautiful beaches and close to several excellent dining options.The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully appointed, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. We especially appreciated the ample parking and peaceful setting. The home had many amenties including 2 Kayaks that we did use.Our host was fantastic—gracious, welcoming, and incredibly responsive to any questions. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and are already looking forward to our next visit!

  Our stay in this adorable home was wonderful! The house is cozy, rustic, very clean, decorated with lovely beach decor. The host was very responsive and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed. Home close to beach and good restaurants! We will definitely return !
