  House was clean. Glassware was incredibly lacking. A few pieces of silverware were all to be found not enough to have dinner with a family of four. Dishwasher fell out of cabinet as it wasn’t attached. Bathroom vanity you couldn’t open drawers because the door trim prevented them from opening. Fireplace and rear door had a massive steady floor of cold air making the living room difficult to use. Base board heat put out very little warm air. They did have space heaters which explains the terrible draft. The towels seemed to be from an old motel. After washing clothes from a day skiing we discovered the dryer doesn’t work. Which explains why the towels were damp when we first arrived. The ceiling fans had so much metal grinding that they weren’t safe to use. The stove top was on when we arrived because the knob was installed upside down. The oven had spilled food in it which when turned on would smoke out the entire house. The smoke detectors do work however we had to remove them for the sake of our neighbors and trying to get dinner cooked. My 3 year old really appreciated the blaring sound of three smoke detector s going off. This is by far the worst Vrbo we’ve ever had. Embarrassing is what this trip was. We did express our same concerns to the owner who offered us late checkout so that we wouldn’t feel rushed leaving! That was icing on the cake.

• Amazing Stay at Jack Frost

  The Lake Harmony Chalet was the perfect getaway rental for my family of 5. We had plenty of space and comfort and enjoyed all the amenities - especially the bath robes! The location at Snow Ridge Village was perfect for taking a break between ski sessions, especially to use the dryer on a slightly rainy day!! We skied Jack Frost mountain in the morning, came back to our Chalet to dry off, and then returned to Big Boulder for night skiing.

  The full kitchen was great for family dinners and offered new, top of the line cookware. But our absolutely favorite feature was the wood burning fireplace. It was such a nice treat for us and offered a warm, cozy experience for our family. This place is a must-do for anyone looking for a ski getaway. We will be back!
