4/5 This is a beautiful setting. We were greeted by deer, geese, and kittens. The house was immaculately cleaned. It was perfect for our three families to share. I highly recommend for anyone hunting or visiting Canadohta Lake. It's very easy access to the hub, Frog Pond side, of the lake.The host was very easy to work with and takes excellent care of the property. The first floor is spacious. The bathrooms are newly updated with all amenities. The kitchen is small but has everything you need.Our reason for 4 stars was the musty smell and the water. There was a foul taste to the water that made it undrinkable. I am sure this beautiful, rural setting is well water and the reason for the taste and odor. So, take your own water to drink, make coffee, and cook with. The other reason for the overall rating was that there are no bathrooms on the second floor where all bedrooms are located. We worried for my elderly mother through the night but she managed without incident.Loved the house and we had a good stay. I do think future guests would like to know these details.
