  We stayed at this awesome home for two nights in February 2026. The house is just as pictured - if not better. But even more important - the host (owner!) is exceeds expectations with his customer service. He answered my first panicked phone call immediatly when my husband couldnt figure out the lock box (user problem that was easily over come 😁 ) He answered all my questions that I sent via email within an hour. The house is so pretty - and well thought through with things such as towels for the hot tub placed downstairs near the hot tub. Speaking of which - the hot tub was HOT (103) when we arrived - which was awesome so we didn’t have to wait for it to warm up - which can take 24 hours.

  The one thing I would make clear is there are no restaurants in the area. We brought chili and spaghetti and meatballs and it was perfect, but finding a restaurant was a non- starter. Now - adding to this caveat - there is nowhere to purchase food, liquor or household items for miles around. Not even something like a 7-11 or a small deli. The closest grocery store is 25 minutes away - and in the opposite direction of Elk Mountain which is where we spent our days. So I strongly recommend a visit to the dollar store to pick up ziplocs, foil, paper towels, etc - and bring all the food items you will need. There are spices (an unexpected surprise) but bring your own coffee, condiments, etc. Worst case you bring them home. You may want to bring dry firewood - we had some inside- but after we used that up - the wood outside was wet.

  That said - my husband and I travel a lot - and we stay in Air BnB type rentals often - and this one was definitely 5-stars - with the responsiveness of the host making it a 6.
