Place was exactly like description and pictures. Enjoyed the stay and all instructions were clear and easy to understand. Host was quick yo respond and very accomodating.
My husband and I and my stepmom stayed in this charming, older home in downtown Pottsville while visiting family/friends.
Our gracious host, Isaac, was very friendly and easily accessible by text and responded timely to our questions, concerns and needs to make our stay comfortable. He left us information about restaurants/activities in the area and also provided some beverages and snacks! He even mailed us some of our belongings that we left behind.
The home's living/dining space is very large and is clean and nicely updated and decorated. It was a great space for watching tv (logged into our provider), enjoying music from the record player, sharing a meal, playing dice, and getting in some light exercise. The windows offered some great sunlight and the window coverings provided privacy as needed. The space also has an area with an office desk.
The two bedrooms were spacious as well. My husband and I were in the Queen bedroom which was comfortable. There was enough storage room for both our luggage placed on luggage racks and hanging up clothes in the closet. The added hanging cubbies in the closet provided additional space to help keep the bedroom uncluttered during our stay. The other bedroom with the bunk beds was also spacious with a luggage rack and closet. This is where my stepmom slept. She was comfortable, but ideally for her, a full-size bed would have been more appropriate.
There is no central air, but the electric coolers and fans in the living rooms and bedrooms were good for us at the time we were there.
The full kitchen was convenient for making coffee and a light breakfast in the morning, but it was small for the three of us to be in there at the same time. We didn't cook much but had food and drink in the full-sized refrigerator and was able to walk to a lovely restaurant (Blue Elephant) a block away.
We shared one very clean bathroom. It was a bit small as well even for one person in there at a time.
The host provided laundry detergent and we were able to do laundry, but going in the basement to access the washer and dryer was not convenient as it was an additional outside entrance.
We enjoyed some time out on the patio with a glass of wine.
We had a parking spot on the back side of the house and close to the main entrance. The keyless locks were convenient.
We appreciated the security cameras.
Although we are not used to downtown living, we felt comfortable and safe and the location was 7 minutes to our friends' house.
Issac was an AMAZING host. Beautiful apartment. Immaculate. Easy parking. Cute neighborhood. Would stay again!!

The apartment was absolutely wonderful. There were so many thoughtful amenities that my wife and I took pictures so we could order some things when we get home. The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator and sink and enough pots, pans, utensils, and eatingware so we could easily save money by cooking in. The living room has a comfortable couch, a dining nook, and a large TV. There are books, board games, and a record player with some cool albums from the '60s. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the basement. The bedrooms are comfortable. Now, it is a charming, old building so there are portable air-conditioning units in the bedroom with the single queen bed and in the living room, and they do a good job cooling. The unit in the bedroom with the bunk beds is one of those air conditioners that uses air blow across water plus a ceiling fan and a stand fan. It will be warmer than the other bedroom. The apartment is in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet with great restaurants, coffee shops, grocery shops, and two record stores within easy walking distance. Plus it's located close to route 422 which gives you easy access to southeastern PA. Finally, the owner, Isaac, is a wonderful host. He made sure to check in with us two or three times during our 5-day stay. Once, I had a question about the apartment, and he answered my text in 15 minutes. He's a super host. We will definitely stay there again when we're in the area.
