• Great place to relax

  This place has a covered front porch with a view of the lake (through the trees). I spent every morning out there with my coffee for some quiet time. The house is very comfortable with room to spread out, there is a little reading nook my son liked to take over. Arrowhead lakes has a family game room with ping pong, pool tables and air hockey. We tend to eat out a lot but everywhere felt like a good drive to get to.

• Relaxing

  We had such a relaxing vacation at this lakehouse! We enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. The community center had a very nice game room that we explored on a rainy day during our trip. The rental was the perfect size for us with 4 adults and 3 children. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone in need of a relaxing vacation! The only critique that we had was that the bed in the master bedroom creaks a lot. Otherwise this rental home was perfect for our time spent there.

• Perfect Getaway

  Perfect getaway for kids of all ages. We recently stayed at the lakehouse with 3 year old and my friend's and their big kids. No one was bored. The older kids were busying kayaking and socializing with other kids while my 3 year old was busy swimming at the lake or on the playground. Easy walk to the beach. Can't wait to go back!

  The house was beautiful but I don’t think the cleaning service did a good job! The fridge was dirty even hair in the bottom! It leaked all week all over floor! The bedrooms were so hot we all couldn’t sleep the fans were not enough and were so old and dirty! I had to run to store to buy a new fan was not happy about that!! You had to move the microwave to another plug to use it! They heed better bug zapper a lot of bugs in and out couldn’t enjoy the porch with out getting bit! Beach was nice it was also nice having the kayaks there to use would have been nice to use the golf cart as well!! Also I didn’t feel after paying a 195 cleaning fee I had to wash the towels and leave in dryer when done that’s what the cleaning fee is for I thought! Thank you

  The homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
  -I apologize for the issue with the refrigerator. I wasn’t aware of the leak during your stay, and I wish you had reached out so I could have addressed it immediately. As soon as I discovered the problem after your departure, I ordered a new fridge, which was delivered the next day.
  -The listing mentions that there is one A/C unit in the main living area, and typically, with the cool Poconos nights, the combination of open windows and fans is sufficient. Unfortunately, your stay coincided with one of the rare heat waves we experience. While there were multiple new fans available in the home, I’m sorry if they didn’t provide enough relief.
  -I was surprised to hear about the microwave issue since it’s worked fine for other guests. Upon inspection, the microwave and plug are in working order.
  -As for the bugs, being in the Poconos and surrounded by nature, bugs can sometimes be a challenge. While I don't have a bug zapper on the property, I do recommend bringing bug spray, as noted in the instructions.
  -Regarding the golf cart, I want to clarify that it's not an amenity listed, which is why it’s kept covered and stored in the back. I do, however, provide kayaks for guest use, and I’m glad you enjoyed that aspect of your stay.
  -As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest.
  Additionally, the departure instructions are standard for the vacation rental industry. The cleaning fee also covers the upkeep of amenities like the hot tub to ensure everything is in top condition for guests.
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
