A fantastic place to stay both inside and outside. From the peacocks on the grounds and history of the house to strolling through Amish country, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The extras provided by the hosts capped off the hospitality we felt and we would definitely stay here again!

We cannot thank the owners Ken and Diana enough for affording us the ability to stay in their beautiful home in Mt. Joy. When we pulled up to the house, I literally questioned if we were at the right place due to how historic and beautiful the place was! It just took our breath away, from the grand outside with the stone facade, corbel detailing, perfusion of flowers, and front porch filled with rockers to the charming inside with the stone hearth, beamed ceilings, and comfortable furnishings. The personal touches by this very lovely couple really made us feel welcomed from the personal, hand-written note and cookies on the kitchen table when we arrived to the well-chosen bathroom amenities (especially the eucalyptus makeup wipes!). There is nothing like making your coffee and wandering out to the front porch to sip it while overlooking the perfusion of plants in the front yard and admiring the gristmill across the road which is operational thanks to the owner Ken and which powers the home itself through turbines or strolling and visiting with the PEACOCKS! OMG! Loved this little family whom had just had their baby chick two weeks prior! I got tons of pics of them while there! If you have the chance, chat with Diana and Ken about the homes history (which you will not regret!) and you will find out such things as the first part was built in the early 1800's and the 2nd half in 1850! And you will see the Amish pass by which is charming!

We enjoyed staying at this wonderful historic home. The fireflies and peacocks were beautiful, and the location was perfect! Only 3 miles from Spooky Nook sports center. Thank you to the owners for being gracious and welcoming.
