  The property was super interesting! There was so much history and the layout was fun for the whole family. The property outside is beautiful, and the pool house was a ton of fun. The host was super kind, messaging with us regularly when we needed something.

• Bachelor weekend

  Awesome place to stay if you have a larger group. Comfortably slept everyone in our group with their own bed. Lots of room to get together (pool house and dining room) so we could be together to celebrate. Plenty of parking and room for everyone. Would stay here again.

  House was a place to sleep for our weekend in Philly so did not spend a lot of time there but it was a nice house.

• Historic charm but inadequate function

  Came for daughter’s wedding. Size of property adequate for large family gathering, but lacked comfortable beds and adequate seating. Lighting in bedrooms and bathrooms was insufficient for ladies to apply makeup or for men to shave. Roof leaked in the first floor en suite bath, and cold water knob in downstairs half bath did not work properly. Property generally deteriorating due to deferred maintenance, and kitchen cabinets and utensils and cutlery were not clean. Very Disappointing stay for the price.

  Hi Jim, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We have high standards of hospitality and take pride in managing this historic 300-year-old house. Our onsite Operation Manager checked in a few times during your stay since we understand how important communication is to our guests.
  - While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. Our home offers two queen-size beds, one full-size, three twins, and one futon bed.
  - Throughout the entire home, there are many different seating options to accommodate all of our guests. In the living room and sunroom, we have two three sofas and 11 chairs, in the breakfast room, kitchen, and dining room we have 12 chairs. In the office, we have two chairs. In the pool house, there are also over 10 chairs.
  - The booking guideline allows a maximum of 10 people but we are flexible about having additional guests visiting during the day. However, the house is not suitable for a party of more than 40 guests at a time.
  - We have standard bathroom vanity lights but we are happy to provide additional lighting for any special needs.
  - October is the time of year when it can be stormy and we just had a severe storm causing a slight leak in the roof of this 300-year-old house. We sent the property management team to fix it immediately after the issue was reported.
  - We use a cleaning service to have the home professionally cleaned before each guest's arrival. We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact during your stay if there were any issues you needed addressing.
  - We would have done everything we could to resolve your concerns immediately so that you could enjoy the home. We are sorry to hear that you found unclean utensils. The homeowner will work with the cleaning team to avoid this from happening to our future guests.
  - While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to share that no issues have been reported by our other guests.
