• Wonderful stay

  We loved our stay at this cozy and beautiful floating home. We particularly loved the cleanliness of the space and we instantly felt at home with the warm pellet stove, comfortable beds and all the things you could need in the kitchen, even some snacks and beverages. We also really enjoyed the outdoor space! The owner was wonderful and easy to communicate with. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer and hope to return!

• Vacation in paradise!

  2 en suites, fishing off the back deck, paddling with kayaks, lunch at Island Cafe, bicycling along the river, close to downtown Portland and Vancouver and so much more! Also a very sweet infrared sauna on the deck! A bit of heaven on the water!

  The house is well decorated throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there. The reason that we didn’t check 5 stars is because of the lack of additional notes that we feel it needed to help guests to locate the unit and the designated parking spaces, especially after dusk. Secondly, a warning should be posted about the steep ramp from the street to the unit for guests with luggage, especially the ones with mobility issues. I have provided a private feedback to the owner about those points.

  Owner's response: "Mau, We are disappointed that you gave us our first 4-star review for items that are clearly out of our control. We have been lucky to have guests who have appreciated our home and given us kind words and 5 stars.
  - The ramp rises and falls with the ocean tides, this is not something that we can control as we do not have a direct line to the man on the moon.
  - Navigation can be tricky and we hope that the very detailed directions are helpful as they do tell you exactly where to go, where to park, which way to walk, and what to be looking for. We feel they are jam-packed with all the information you might need to get here and we can't think of anything we omitted.
  
  Our goal for each guest is to not only meet their expectations but to exceed them. We feel your review has now negatively impacted our rating with two things that were beyond our control and again we are disappointed. We do not have a valet to help with your bags, and if that is what you desire there are places in Portland that can meet those preferences. We offer our guests a beautiful clean and comfortable home where they can relax, have fun, and make memories with loved ones. With all the comforts of home, breathtaking views, and your very own sauna to top it off.
  
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver those 5-star experiences we are known for."

  This was such a fun and unique property and location! Loved the decor of the boat house and the back deck was a sanctuary. We loved having our morning coffee watching the baby ducks swim by. The owner of the property was very responsive to any questions that came up. She goes above and beyond to ensure a top notch experience!
