  This place was perfect for us. There was a lot of space with three levels. The two refrigerators were awesome to have. The house was clean and the beach access was great, just a short walk. Overall was a great stay and experience.

  We were excited for this stay, we were traveling to the beack on a celebration trip for my husband who recently passed. Home is in a great location and big enough to fit our family comfortably.

  Unfortunately this is were the positives end. Home needs some tlc, repairs, and a good scrub. When looking for linens for a pull out sofa bed, we found the dryer full of damp linens and towels. The machine was so overloaded that we had to break it down into 3 seperate loads to rewash and dry. These were left by the cleaning staff and had not been used by us. Kitchen cabinet fronts are coffee covered by the coffee maker, bottom cabinets are dirty including spills and food. The rules state leave no food, yet we found old or expired food left in the cabinets. Couches and dining table chairs are worse for wear and uncomfortable, recycling was piled in the garage, with no additional bags left for the trash compactor (which could use a good scrub as well).

  I spoke directly with the owner who was apologetic and a pleasure to speak with.

  She said we would be contacted by her caretaker but did not receive that call until 9:30pm that night. We were told we could pick up a gift certificate for the hassle, we did not accept the offer.

  "Kris, Thank you for mentioning that the home is in a great location and was big enough for your family. We are sorry that you were unhappy with the cleanliness of the home.
  
  - We have addressed the cleaning issues with the cleaners and have been assured that they will be emptying the dishwasher and dryer so that nothing is left behind. This will ensure each new guest that everything was 100% cleaned before their arrival. We will also be addressing the cabinets to make sure they are clean and sanitized.
  - The sofas in the house will all be replaced very soon, it might take a bit of time since they will need to be transported from Portland, but once done new photos will be taken to update the listing.
  - We will check the dining room chairs, and if needed they will be replaced as well.
  - The recycling in the garage was not picked up due to closures for the Memorial holiday. They are not open 7 days a week so we have to be sure to take it on one of the 4 days they are available. We have discussed this with the property manager and they will get this taken care of and be sure it does not get out of hand again.
  - We did offer to send the cleaners out again as well as offered you a certificate or partial refund and you refused. We understand that this was family time and we respected that. However, we did try to rectify these issues and the manager tried contacting you several times to talk about this. We would have appreciated the chance to make things better and are disappointed that you refused.
  
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."

• Spacious, Clean, GREAT LOCATION

  What a perfect place to stay and spread out! We traveled with our daughter and her baby (baby gates, high chair, children's cups/plates, toys, etc.) and teenage boys. Plenty of room (spacious high ceilings), beds, places to sit and eat, comforters, pillows, towels, etc. Incredibly spacious, comfortable AND quality beds, well equipped kitchen, and the list goes on. Easy access to beach with a short beach path right next to the house. The owners were available and quick to respond to any inquiries we had. We made use of the kitchen for every meal and had plenty of plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, etc. My only wish would be for more board games for adults but that was a minor detail. The town of Pacific City had several lovely local businesses we frequented and they were walking distance from the house also. Just down the road is Bob Straub Wayside with great walking trails and a couple of miles outside of town headed south is Nestucca National Wildlife Refuge with a lovely hike and viewpoint (ADA accessible for the view). We thoroughly enjoyed Cape Kiwanda and the tide pools (check the tide charts and go 2 hours before low tide) and also McPhillips Beach was lovely. The town has a small local grocery store and a market by Cape Kiwanda and you are only 30 minutes from Tillamook or Lincoln City. We'd land here again for sure! Swimming tip, the RV park has a heated pool you can swim in for $7.00 a day. Cold Water Coffee (lotus, coffee, etc), Gratefulbread Bakery (had GF items), and the donuts at Village Coffee were a win with our family! We saw LOTS of vehicles get stuck on the beach or trying to get on the beach so... heads up. You might want to just walk. Could have been time of year. LOL

  Loved the house- roomy, beautiful and clean. I would recommend that the owners invest in a new BBQ. The one at the house was really run down and worked horribly. Otherwise everything was really great.
