Amazing UTV Getaway

We spent the weekend riding UTV's in the dunes for the second year and it was amazing!

Nice lakefront getaway

We had 5 adults from northern Washington. The house was great, lots of room for all of us. Two bathrooms, lots of nice towels and even soaps and shampoo in both. We were able to cook and BBQ our meals as the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were big and comfortable. The paddle boat was a blast in between our outings. Waking up and having coffee on the deck and watching all the hummingbirds was a real treat. We also enjoyed the propane fire pit. What a nice stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to come back again. Thank you !

Pros:

Amazing Lake setting with fishing for adults and kids right on the property.

Great location for the dunes.

Kitchen is well stocked for your stay.

Whoever cleans does a good job in the time they are given to get the inside of the house ready for the next guest.

Cons:

There are five (5 ) cameras outside watching and listening to you every move, not two (2) like the ad states. One (1) is on the side of their shed, and if you have the bathroom blinds open they are getting a free show.

Outside area is not well maintained, nothing gets cleaned and the yard is not as nice as the pictures.

Prepare yourself for the driveway. If you don't have a 4WD and you are pulling a trailer with your toys on it-it is very steep with multiple potholes. The potholes have been filled with lose gravel and unfortunately as you go through each pothole it pushes the gravel out and onto the asphalt and creates a situation for sliding.

Lets get to the inside. They have an automatic air freshener in the living room spraying every 15-20 minutes. We found out after tuning it off it was covering up an unpleasant odor.

All cabinets in the laundry room, and all closets outside of the kitchen are locked.

The water is on a well right next to the lake. There is no other way to put this, it's a yellow/brown color at times. During our stay, the power went out in the area on the second day and for the next two (2) days the home lost water pressure (When I say 'lost pressure', I mean no shower water up stairs and really low pressure down stairs in the bathroom and kitchen). After sending multiple messages to the contact/owner and hearing excuses for two (2) days, we the called Evolve. They spoke to the contact/owner and it was then fixed the next day, but after the pressure fix, the water was even dirtier with a metal smell.

The downstairs tub does not drain fast. By the end of your shower you will be standing in ankle deep yellow/brown soapy water.

The master bedroom has a set of double doors in it that are locked. If you look outside, you will see this is a full room that is not assessable.

I am uncomfortable to leave a bad review, but these all things the owner can fix and have an amazing place.

We had family and friends, very comfortable, well stocked, beds are high quality great sleep. Right on Saunders Lake view so surreal went fishing, rode quads dunes access sweet, went to beach. Bond fire every night plus s’mores. Will be back soon!
