  Would not stay here again. The first thing that went wrong is that I was given the wrong address. The address given to me was for the upstairs unit, so it didn’t take me too long to figure out and I didn’t think it a big deal. Then I opened the door, and there was a pile of laundry left on the couch. The lighting in the apartment was scarce and unpleasant. There was no shower curtain, so showering was a mess. The bed was mostly made, but there was a duvet (with no duvet cover) piled loosely on top of the bed. All of the curtains were pleated pieces of paper, all too long for the windows, which was impractical and unpleasant to look at. There was what looked like black mold on some areas of the ceiling. The kitchen barely had light, and didn’t have a single pot or pan to cook with, nor a microwave. There also wasn’t a single table (not even a coffee table) in the apartment. I came to Eugene for two weeks of full-time work, and needed to be able to cook and eat in the apartment, so this was super frustrating. I tried calling the host the next day but got no answer, so I spent a lot of my own money buying kitchen utensils that I would only use for two weeks. Luckily, the host did call me back the next day and sent someone to bring pots, pans, a microwave, and a shower curtain. He also told me that they would install more light in the kitchen. I came home that day to a plastic light strip that had fallen and broken on the floor, plastic parts and batteries strewn everywhere. About a week into my stay, I hear someone trying to unlock the front door. Turns out the cleaning crew (pretty sure she was a high schooler) thought I was checking out that day. Not a huge deal, but then a day before my actual check-out day, I came back to find the door unlocked. I know for a fact that I locked the door when I left in the morning, so I can only assume that the cleaning crew entered prematurely again and didn’t think to lock the door when they left. Luckily nothing was stolen, but it still made me super uneasy. My stay here was like a series of unfortunate events that was almost comical. Maybe decent enough for 1-2 nights if nothing else is available, but super bad vibes for a stay as long as mine.
