Relaxing family weekend in Broken Bow
5/5 Pros - Location is amazing with easy access to a shopping area with coffee, ice cream, Mt. Fork Brewery and Distillery, as well as a local supermarket. Easy access to Beaver Bend and the park and hiking trails around there. The cabin feels very private but not isolated and we loved the tree lined backyard providing lots of privacy when we use the hot tub (no noise and no neighbors overlooking the cabin). Love the washer and dryer at the cabin which comes in handy after a day of adventures outdoors. Upgraded showers in the bathrooms was a very nice touch. TV was nice and big and Wifi internet connectivity was excellent in the cabin even though we had no signal on our cellphones.
Con - Bed was uncomfortable because the spring mattress has been worn down (literal dips in the mattress). Grill was provided but no gas, shower gel was empty in the downstairs bathroom, and there was animal feces on one of the porch mats when we arrived. I would recommend that the cleaning/management service pay more attention during turnovers. Also, we arrived after 3:00P and cleaning was still not finished so maybe they felt rushed when they saw us. Two bedrooms, but the upstairs bedroom has minimal privacy (no door and a balcony rail that overlooks the living room so no soundproofing). This would work for just one family but definitely wouldn't stay here with extended family or friends.
Overall, nice experience and nice stay. Would definitely stay again for the location!
5/5 3/5 Location and outdoor space were great. Except for a couple of missing vertical sections of upper deck that a child or pet could fit through. Do a walk thru before letting your kids/pets out. The space was spacious but needs TLC. Refrigerator is broken - contacted property manager - no reply. There were some kitchen things but missing many things. There were towels in dryer when we arrived. Air intake filter was filthy. All in all a good property needing TLC by someone who cares.
