  • Beautiful rental with some room for improvement


    The good first...

    -Beautiful home in great location

    -Very clean and well kept

    -Quiet and private

    -The treats and bottle of wine were thoughtful

    Not so good...

    -We had an issue entering the property via the keypad entry system using the instructions given to us prior to arrival. Coming off of a long drive and having warm food in hand for dinner, this was an annoying inconvenience, but one we could overlook for the initial entry. We reached out to the individual/s listed for guest service and were given a new code. That code worked one time. The keyless entry system was never resolved for us. Additionally, the guest service point of contact was unapologetic about the situation and not at all customer centric. I thanked them for their help getting in and mentioned that the place was beautiful and we never heard a word back from them our entire stay. From the initial contact there were zero niceties given by the guest service personnel. It made us feel like we were an imposition.

    -Upon check out it is expected that you wash the towels you used, wash the dishes, and take out the trash to dispose of in a can placed at least a football field's length away from the house or risk being imposed another fee on top of the VERY hefty cleaning fee that you already incur upon booking. We pride ourselves on being tidy and considerate guests, but to be expected to clean to that extent when you are on a getaway and already paying for cleaning is ridiculous.

    Overall, the house and location is wonderful and it is evident that there is pride in ownership, but the management of this rental could be improved. This stay did not feel like "5 star service" for a luxury rental.

    We wanted to address some of the concerns you raised to provide clarity and ensure future guests have a better experience:
    - We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the keypad entry system. Our team did receive your call upon arrival and promptly provided a new code to access the property. However, we were unaware that the issue persisted, as we did not receive further communication from you. We have since taken steps to provide guests with more informational instructions for accessing the home, which will now include a video demonstration.
    - As is standard in the vacation rental industry, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest.
    - We apologize if you felt our guest service personnel were not as accommodating as expected. We aim to provide excellent service and hospitality to all our guests, and your feedback will help us improve in this area.
    - Once again, we appreciate your feedback and apologize for any shortcomings you experienced during your stay. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future, and we will do our best to ensure a more enjoyable experience.
    We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

    This cabin is truly incredible. We loved the split levels, the privacy is awesome, you're NOT right next to someone like you are in a lot of cabins here, and the house itself... every detail was perfect. Plenty of space to enjoy in the main living room and kitchen - top shelf cooking appliances - and a gorgeous master bathroom with a soaking tub and walk in shower. Easy to get to as well. 10 out of 10.
