  This was a great place to getaway. Perfect size, nice hot tub, great play area, friendly staff that was responsive. The bedrooms were nice, no problems with any drains or tubs like mentioned in several other reviews. The beds were comfortable and we would definitely go back. It’s not perfect, of course a few little repairs may be needed but nothing that would make us question going back. We all loved it. The only downfall in my opinion is the 10am check out time. If it were 11-12 that would definitely make it perfect for me.

  Good: - Location of the cabin in the woods - Close to Beaver's Bend and other main spots- Big Hot tub - Fire pit- Responsive owners Bad: - Bad wifi, and I guess it's an open network for all the other cabins around to use. You don't get much reception too.- Bathtub and sink in one of the toilets is partially clogged and drains very slowly. Previous renters have mentioned the same in their review and I thought they would've been fixed, but no.- Backyard is common for the other 3 cabins around, so not much of a privacy

• Bedbugs. No Refund.

  This is the Cliff Notes summary of our abbreviated stay at “Cozy Whispering Oaks Cottage” in Broken Bow. Upon arrival, I discovered bedbugs on the pillow, captured and photographed them.

  I contacted Evolve and they told me I would receive a full refund.

  The property manager came and he saw the bedbugs, as well.

  The next day, both the property manager and Evolve said they would not refund my money until they had a pest inspection report showing “evidence of habitation.”

  For over 2 weeks, Evolve has been stonewalling me saying they have to have a report from a professional exterminator before they can do anything. I have not received a response nor a refund from Evolve yet.

  I hope this is not The End.

  P.S. The cottage would have been nice minus the bedbugs.

• Christmas at the cabin

  The cabin was old the floors were soft the sink in the Master bedroom took forever to drain the bathtub took forever to drain.

  There was a couple of roaches in the cabin, my family and I had a good time. The cabin needs a lot of work.
