We arrived in the evening and found it hard to see the cabin and driveway as there was no lighting at all. This made the first impression of the cabin rather creepy. It was also very difficult to unload the car with only our phones for light. We were told, after arrival that the floodlights and side porch light do not work. We also noticed solar lights on the deck and steps that did not work either. The cabin appeared to be relatively clean. The toilet is very low flow and had issues flushing. It finally stopped flushing and overflowed. I texted, then called the host, who told me that we were supposed to put the soiled toilet paper in the wastebasket not the toilet. She insisted this is what everyone in the area does. I have not heard that before and this was not posted anywhere at the property or in the house rules. The host did come to the cabin and cleaned up the overflow and got the toilet "working" again. We were very appreciative of her effort. The microwave kept losing power and I had to reset some button on the electrical outlet to get it power up again as I was also using the stove, the toaster, and the coffee maker at the same time. As we were packing up to leave I checked all of the rooms and was looking around the beds upstairs for anything that we might have left behind, and found dried vomit (not left by us) on one of the bed skirts. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. The cabin is in need of repairs and renovations.

Hi Susan, we’re sorry to hear your stay didn’t meet your expectations. After reviewing your feedback, we followed up with the homeowner, who shared the following:
- This authentic log cabin has been thoughtfully updated with new floors, furniture, a kitchen table, a refrigerator, an oven/stove, beds, mattresses, and smart TVs to provide a comfortable and modern experience.
-Please note that using multiple high-power appliances simultaneously can occasionally overload the circuit, so we recommend spacing out usage where possible.
-We’ve also taken note of your concerns about the outdoor lighting and will ensure it’s promptly inspected and repaired.
-During your stay, our property manager responded quickly when notified about the plumbing issue on your final night and was able to address it right away.
Thank you for your review. We're committed to providing the best experience for every guest and look forward to welcoming more satisfied guests, as seen in our previous and recent reviews.
The cutest little cabin ever! This was the perfect little place left a small family. Took the daughter and the grands, and they loved the swingset and the fire pit. The linens were clean and so soft! All the beds were comfortable and provided a good nights sleep! Do yourself a favor, and consider this booking! We will definitely be back!
The cabin was clean although had a strong musty smell.
There is no closet to hang clothes. There is no dishwasher.
Quiet Setting is pretty with a pond and deck.
Large TVs were nice.
Convenient to many things in Hochatown.
We really enjoyed staying at the Pine Knot cabin. The set-up is just right for families and our host, Rose, made sure everything was just right. We would gladly stay here again if we stop in Broken Bow.
