The place was great! Only down fall is that there's no garbage disposal and checking out at 10am. We had a great time. The house is very clean. We loved it!

  • North Fairfield house exceeded all our expectations.

This property was in a perfect rural setting. Booked the property for a weekend getaway to reconnect with old friends. The property well equipped to cook or bbq any meal. If you want to order a pizza for lunch. We discovered close enough to civilization for delivery! Overall perfect property to get some great rest and relaxation.

My family and I chose this place based on location, size, and amenities. The house is in the country and away from busy city life. While a house or two are nearby, it is a large yard with fields surrounding it. The house was furnished with extras to help if you bring along young children with a few games, tepee with stuffed animals, bumbo chair and more. The owners had extra items to help with the stay such as paper products available, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap in the bathrooms and coffee with creamer and to go cups. These were little things that were a nice addition to be able to use. There was also a washer and dryer, which helps if a quick load needs to be done. Our children enjoyed the hot tub of an evening or morning. While we did not use it, there was a fire pit on the side of the house and some wood there for use. The owner left the garage door opener and had the garage available for use.

We enjoyed the open feel of the home, but also quaint size. The owner was very communicative and kept us informed ahead of time when the furnace was not working the day we were due to arrive. Thankfully, secondary accommodations were not needed as the repairs were able to be made and we were able to enjoy the home.

While we were happy with our stay and would stay again, here are a few things to be aware of. While the home is in the country, there are a handful of cars that would go by throughout the night. So, if wanting completely silent or that is to much, plan to have a fan or sound machine with you. The TV is satellite TV and even on a good weather day would freeze. There were a few DVDs and a DVD player, but just to be aware if with littles and wanting/relying on a TV. Lastly, the beds were firmer than some preferred. However, this is a matter of preference. I had a couple family members choose to sleep on the couch that they felt was more comfortable.

Overall, this place met our family’s needs and more. We were happy with staying and would return to stay again.
