• Beautiful property, poor communication

  This is a beautiful home with spacious lawn and lots of outdoor space. Communication was poor from the beginning as questions asked with booking were not answered for weeks. Temperature in home was difficult to manage. Upstairs bedrooms were very warm and basement bedrooms were very cold. The room with 7 beds had no extra blankets. The thermostat has a lock on it but we were not allowed to have the code. We had to notify the owner/manager every time we wanted to adjust the thermostat and he would then adjust it remotely. This felt awkward and uncomfortable. The home has no paper towels, napkins or tissues. Fixtures and furniture are lovely and porches and patios make peaceful spaces to gather. Driveway is removed from front door so unloading cars requires a lot of walking back and forth. Hot tub is very nice. Kitchen is well-stocked. There is also an extra house right next to the house being rented. The shades were drawn and we didn’t see anyone there but in the pictures we had thought it was a garage.

• Very very nice, missing touches

  The property was very nice physically, everything in the listing was accurate. Beds were good, hot tub was very nice.

  A few small issues keep it from being 5 star. There was nothing in the kitchen except salt and pepper and a tiny bit of coffee. No ice trays, no water pitcher, so the only water to drink was straight out of the tap. There was not enough soap, and the property manager basically told us "sorry, not coming out to fix that." One upstairs bathroom had extremely low water pressure. Finally, there was only enough dish detergent to run the dishwasher twice, and we had 14 people there. We had to run the dishwasher multiple times a day just to have enough dishes, so we had to go out and buy our own detergent.

  A great place for our annual family vacation! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you could think of. Plenty of room for a large group. Lots to do!
