  The drive back to the house is awesome. The peacefulness while you’re back there is unmatched. The place was very clean and not a mosquito in sight at night around the fire. Very well taken care of place

  This is such a perfect little cabin tucked away in the woods, with 2 nice decks overlooking a beautiful pond with turtles and fish swimming about. I loved sipping my coffee in the morning, all awhile listening to the birds and frogs.My boys stayed with me and they said it was definately one of their favorite cabins we had booked. We didn't use the hot tub, because it was hot and humid outside. The cabin came with a paddleboat and canoe also, but we didn't end up using the paddleboat. We did try the canoe, which was in need of some repairs. There was screws coming out, and one of the middle benches was coming off, and canoe had a small hole at the top, but it was high enough to where no water could get in. We canoed across the lake, but was not great with the rowing, and the humidity just wore us out, so we didnt stay out long. We were able to catch a few crappies in the pond. This cabin is not far from grocery stores, dining, and just about 25 minutes away from HockingHills Ohio. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin, we loved the stay!!

  From the owner: "Traci, thank you for the great review! Just to clarify, the rowboat (not a canoe) is in good working condition. The screws you mentioned are at the back of the boat that held the transom in place. The boat is metal, but has a wooden transom, and over the years with the boat flipped over on the ground, the transom has rotted away from the ground (and water) contact, leaving just the screws (and screw holes) which attached it to the boat. The transom is only necessary to attach an outboard motor to the boat, which isn't done with our boat, as it's used manually with oars. The missing transom does not affect the boat otherwise, and as you mentioned, the screw holes are at the top of the boat so there is no chance of water coming through the holes. We will construct and attach a new transom to alleviate any concerns. Also, the middle seat had a screw missing from one of the brackets, but it was still firmly attached, and we replaced the screw. We're so glad you loved your stay, and we really appreciate the valuable feedback. Thank you so much!"
