  • This house is a mess.

    There are many problems here. We had trouble getting in because the door jam is crooked and loose so the deadbolt could not travel properly. The beds did not have top sheets. We found them in the closet and made the beds ourselves. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Floors had not been swept. There was no dishwasher detergent. The toaster oven was disgusting. There was plastic wrap on the new appliances, and price tags and packaging on lots of items. Not enough dishes or silverware for 11 people (only 4 sets, and 3 glasses). Mirrors were not cleaned properly. Had to call the Evolve rep for the wifi password. In the basement, the ceiling was open, exposing the insulation and wiring. One mattress was still encased in plastic, so that bed had to be remade. Dirty laundry in the laundry tub. Shower leaks. Very concerning was the electric arc in the bedroom near the stairs when a phone charger was plugged in. The house smells musty/moldy, with air freshener thrown in. This was the worst house we have ever rented, and I was embarrassed that I had asked family members to join us there. I would like a partial to full refund for our stay, and I hope you will help the owners improve, or take this off the market.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. As the new owner, I am committed to ensuring a high-quality experience for all our guests, especially following our recent full renovation.

    Regarding the issues you mentioned:

    Door Jam and Deadbolt: We have checked the door and deadbolt and found them in working order. However, we will monitor this to ensure there are no future problems.

    Bedding: While top sheets are provided in the closet for guest preference, our standard is to have beds made with fitted sheets and comforters. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

    Cleanliness: Our cleaning team has been notified of your concerns about the dishes, floors, and toaster oven. These issues have been addressed, and I have already identified a new cleaning company moving forward. I am scheduled to go there personally to double-check everything to ensure our high standards are met.

    Supplies: We have confirmed that dishwasher detergent is now stocked, and additional dishware and silverware have been provided to accommodate larger groups. Additionally, there was soap under the kitchen sink.

    WiFi Information: The WiFi code is posted on the kitchen wall and is also available behind the cable box in the living room.

    Basement: The basement renovation includes an open ceiling design, which is intentional for a modern look. We understand this may not appeal to everyone, but it is a deliberate aesthetic choice.

    Other Issues: The musty smell, shower leak, and plastic on the mattress have been addressed to ensure future guests have a better experience.

    Electric Arc: The electric arc you mentioned was very concerning. We have already had a licensed electrician inspect and resolve the issue to ensure guest safety.

    We take guest feedback seriously and strive to provide an exceptional experience. We have had positive feedback from other guests, and we believe our property offers a unique and comfortable stay.
