  We had such a wonderful time at the John Wills House! This place is amazing- like stepping back in time but fitted with all necessary / modern amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The “wow’s” and “look at this” were plentiful on our first walk through. Everyone had a room with plenty of towels, linen and even drop cloths for our furry friend. Plenty of kitchen supplies, utensils and awesome outdoor grill. The game room garage was an added treat outfitted with board games, ping-pong, badminton, and cornhole. About a 10 minute drive to Lake George so easy to get into town and walk around and enjoy all the village has to offer. Rekka was so easy to communicate with and clearly takes the time to make sure her guests have everything they need. Her house book is filled with recommendations and suggestions for the area and the cherry on top was the delicious coffee cake that was left for my family. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful home in the area.

• THE BEST FAMILY STAY!!!!! No one wanted to go home!!!!

  We have stayed in a number of VRBO's, AirBNB's, HomeAway from HOMES over the years, but we never had an experience like this one. THIS PLACE IS A GEM!!!!! It's a beautiful old home that has been restored with love and care. We loved seeing all the antiques and the glimpse into what life once was like but we were treated to the modern luxuries we didn't expect. A brand new sectional greeted us immediately and for our big family, that was a blessing!! SMART-Tv's in every room, super comfy bedding, showers that were fabulous, and more than enough space to spread out and not get on each other's nerves. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need on your vacation!!! THE BARN???? LET ME TELL YOU - one of the KEY FEATURES about this house. We spent so much time out there playing games, and talking, and connecting. It was a breath of fresh air. Outdoors? The patio and fire pit, the grill, all gave way to more family time together and even some family from out of state came and we were able to hang out with them as well with all of the space. But probably the best feature about this vacation was our hosts!!! We were greeted with notes all over the house, explaining what to do and how; freshly made crumb cake in a beautiful dish on one of the tables, and REKKA, who answered me faster than most family members. She was never more than a text away, offering help and answers, almost immediately. I knew when we were texting on our way to NY, she was a GEM!!!!! I had asked about a dish in the home for a meal I was making one night there, and one more a perfect dish was sitting on the porch, waiting for us after a hike. This family loves their home, cherishes it, and loves on the people that stay there with anything they could possibly need. YOU WON'T REGRET STAYING HERE!!! I promise you!!!! THANK YOU TO REKKA AND HER FAMILY FOR A TRULY MEMORABLE STAY!!!! We always loved Lake George, but these memories have us planning our next trip!!!!

  The property is stunning! The house has everything a large family could possibly need! With two dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen, a lavish family room and a sitting room with a fire place! There are several beautiful bedrooms, gorgeously decorated with perfectly chosen antiques!

• Anniversary weekend

  We had a fantastic stay! Craig and Rebekah were very kind and helpful with explaining all the nuances about the house. You really feel transported back to another time with this house but with modern conveniences. You could definitely invite a large family or several friends to this house. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and this house and the surrounding area made it very special. Highly recommended!

  This was a fantastic find for the few days we were able to get away to the mountains. Could hardly have been a more welcoming home, put together with lots of attention and love from Rekka and her family. I would not hesitate to stay here again and again!
