It was a wonderful stay at the Maples. It is a beautiful home within walking distance to town. And we loved being right on the lake, so we could paddle board and kayak evey day! Marty and Phylliis were amazing hosts, always available to answer questions, make suggestions, etc. It was the perfect Adirondack getaway!

From the owner: "Thank you Steinman family for this glowing review. It is. always our desire to make our guests' time at The Maples the best lake vacation time they have ever had. You are a very special family and take the time out of your busy lives to get together. This is very special and so valuable. Phyllis and I are delighted you found The Maples a perfect place for your reunion."
The large porch is beautiful and where we spent most of our time. The dock was perfect for docking our rental boat. The owners were very kind and responsive.

From the owner: "We are so glad The Maples provided your family the vacation you were seeking. We enjoyed having you here. And would love to have you return."
What an unforgettable time we had at The Maples. Perfect for our family with little kids and older parents.
2 min. Walk to town for coffee, snacks, pubs, food and grocery store.
House was equipped with cooking vessels and utensils, towels and sheets. Fans made the hottest days perfectly comfortable.
We found it cozy and homey dotted with little antiquities and the most amazing screened porch where we spent 99% of our time staring out onto the lake.
Private Lake access with zero entry swimming for littles and older folks and a dock equipped with a great little loner motor boat for cruising the lake was a huge advantage.
Fire pit in the evening was stocked with logs and during the day the yard is huge & ready for lawn games or just gazing at the beautiful wildflowers and Lillie’s edging the property.
The gem of this experience for us, however was the people. The home owners and their neighbors had to help us out when power went down for over a day after a storm and we cannot thank them enough for going absolutely above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. I just can’t say enough about how much we appreciate their care for us. Salt of the earth. Absolutely wonderful community in the heart of the ADX.
Sat. farmers market and used book sale and beach were great on the way out. Lots of things to do for family & kids in the area including the stone caves, Ausable Chasm, stone bridge ice cream, paradox brewery, hikes, Rodeo, Seagle festival, etc.
make this a must!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for this glowing review. The severe storm that took the power down interfered with our desire to make your time at The Maples the best lake vacation you have ever had, but it did highlight the loving support the community and our friends offer when the unforeseen arises. We now have a generator with a basement transfer switch. . We look forward to seeing you next year."
