  This is a very special place ❤️. The hosts have thought of everything you may need and more.We had a great stay and will be back. We got to see Bald Eagles , hummingbirds , beavers , deer, and turtles. The cottage is beautiful and right on the water .We always use the grill and eat outside.Nearby Fairhaven shops are fun and close to museums and restaurants. No lack of things to do near here, or just soak up the sound of birds and the water.Nice furnishings and TV for night time relaxing, great views from inside too.

  Uncle Johns on Blind Sodus Bay is the perfect getaway!

  The cottage itself, is located right on the edge of the bay, so all you will hear are the relaxing sounds of waves and bird song.

  The cottage has full amenities! Plenty of room to sit and enjoy, inside and out! A full kitchen, from glassware, pots and pans, to frosted glasses in the freezer. All you’ll need to do is plan your own menu. If you prefer, there’s even a grill outside!

  The entire cottage is decorated by Mary (the hostess), who has the perfect eye! All bedrooms have their own theme, and she even decorates for certain times of the year. There’s a fireplace in the living room for those nights where you’d just like to be cozy and watch a movie.

  Outside, there’s plenty to do! If you just want to read a book in the sun, there’s a beautiful deck with the best chairs. If you’re more of a night owl, there’s a fire pit, and when the season allows, there’s even a personal pier!

  The area itself, is quiet, quaint and full of different sites to see! From the little restaurants in town, to the adorable shops!

  Also, I would like to say that Chuck and Mary are the best hosts that anyone could ever ask for and they were more than happy to help us with any questions that we had!

  I highly recommend this cottage to anyone who’s interested in a getaway to the most perfect place on Earth!

  The cottage was clean and very interesting. The view of Blind Sodus Bay was spectacular. The owner Mary Connery was very pleasant and helpful.

• Hidden Gem

  One of the best Airbnb places we’ve ever stayed at, and we’ve stayed at plenty. Mary and Chuck are natural hosts who truly care about giving us the best experience possible. The house is well cared for and very clean, with every amenity needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the lake from the two decks is absolutely spectacular. Mary and Chuck are natives of the area and have a wealth of knowledge and helpful suggestions that they are very happy to share. It exceeded out expectations and we will be revisiting as soon as we are able.

  If you like nature, want to get out and paddle a kayak or paddle board this is the place. Birds , turtles , dragon flies . Every single thing you could want in a home base included. Well stocked kitchen, cozy bedrooms and living room. Porch and decks speak for themselves.
