  We had a great stay at this Poughkeepsie home. It was nicely decorated, well-stocked and clean. The owner was super communicative and responsive. Nice property in a convenient location. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. We would definitely stay again.

  The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. The linens were very nice on the beds. We appreciated every room had a fan as it was very warm and humid during our stay. In the future I will not stay at a pet friendly rental. We learned to light the candles the homeowner left to freshen up the smell of the downstairs.

  From the owner: "Thank you for noting the cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches throughout the home.
  - We communicated several times before and during your stay regarding the window air conditioners, which are typically kept in place from April 15 through November 15 each year. Our handyman removed them prematurely, and when we offered to reinstall them, you confirmed they weren’t needed. This likely contributed to the humidity you mentioned.
  - No guest has ever mentioned any pet odors in any of our 5-star reviews over the past three years. While most guests do not travel with pets, the owner does have one medium-sized, short-haired dog who is groomed weekly and has no odor. The dog primarily stays outdoors and in the guesthouse. As the owner is personally very sensitive to scents, great care is taken to ensure there is absolutely no odor issue in the home.
  - The home is professionally cleaned on the day of arrival and maintained to the owner’s high standards.
  - At no point during the several check-ins I made during your stay did you mention anything unsatisfactory at all; had you done so, I would have been happy to address any need you might have expressed.

• Graduation Perfection

  The house is actually nicer than the pictures. The living rooms are spacious and have lots of seating. The dining room was very functional and the kitchen was great. Plenty of place settings for people and it worked really well for our family for our son’s graduation from Vassar. It is probably less than a mile from campus. Really enjoyed it. Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean and if you wanted a fire there was plenty of wood. Really enjoyed it and already recommended it to a few parents of the junior class. Thanks for a great stay!
