• Spacious Home, but needs some updates

  Pros:

  House was nice and clean upon arrival. We did have an electrical issue, and the host did send an electrician out the next morning to fix the problem, which was very much appreciated. Arcade Room and Movie Theater Room were great for both the kids and adults and certainly helped on the rainy days. The back deck was lovely and a Godsend as we spent a lot of our time out there because the house was so hot.

  Cons:

  1) There was NO AC on the entire first floor (even though an on-line picture showed a portable AC unit in the living room, there wasn't one, only a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom, which didn't help with the heat and humidity). Were told not to open any of the windows or doors on first floor because of the bears so the entire first floor was like a sauna our whole visit, it was awful.

  2) Even though it stated in our paperwork that we were to take our garbage upon departure to the curb for someone to pick up (which was included in the rental fee), we were notified the night before our arrival that because of the bears we would have to either pay another $100 (on top of the $500 cleaning fee we had already paid) to have the cleaning person take our garbage to the dump or we had to take our garbage home with us.

  3) Again, the night before arrival we were told because past guests had stollen their propane tanks, which was provided in the rental fee, we now had to bring our own propane tank.

  4) We could not get the ice machine on the refrigerator to work.

  5) There were no "Child Safety Plugs" in any of the lower wall outlets.

  6) On some of the outlets only the upper outlet worked, the lower one didn't

  7) The banister going upstairs was quite wobbly.

  8) There were loose cable wires hanging out of the wall next to the fireplace.

  9) Quite a few of the shelves in the lower kitchen cabinets were broken and some of the doors were nailed shut.

  10) A crock pot was to have been provided, but we couldn't find one.

  11) there were loose wires hanging out of the wall across from the hot tub and there was no lighting by the hot tub so we couldn't use that area at night.

  12) The firepit on the table on the back deck wasn't usable because the grate was either badly burnt or broken in spots.

  13) A toggle switch in the bathroom upstairs was very loose and did not work.

  Great place quiet and private

• Great family home.

  We all went as a family 11 of us. We had a wonderful time. This home is set up for people with children. Adults can relax and children will be busy all the time. Sleeping was perfect everything was very neat and clean. Would definitely go again!
