  The house has a sewage problem, it smelled terrible. And the backyard smelled badly as well. We were afraid to shower or use the water as it might’ve been crossed contaminated with the sewage. There was supposedly a separate entrance for someone that lived in the basement, it was not separate at all, so no one slept very well wondering if some stranger was just gonna walk in at any time. There were many birds on the deck and bird droppings, it couldn’t be healthy to be around and breathe either.Not a pleasant or healthy environment.

  We told the host we wouldn’t be there until 2am but our friends would be there early evening, the code wasn’t sent until 9pm, we didn’t get it until 12 when our plane landed.Walking in there was a very strong perfume smell that was almost nauseating. All we could see was a curtain at the bottom of the stairs so we were uncomfortable wondering about what level of privacy we had. Quiet hours are strict which we were ok with but several nights, someone came home late and what we’re thinking was the garage door would wake us up. Other doors opening and closing and lights also.The floors obviously hadn’t been cleaned which made us all wonder about the rest of it but the rest of the house was very clean, we opened all the windows and the smell eventually dissipated. We were eventually provided with some kitchen linens, we were there for 9 days so I would’ve like more than one dish cloth and towel but we weren’t there very much.We looked around and found a broom in the laundry area (which is NOT on the main floor as advertised) but then we were accused of going into the daughter’s bedroom to get a broom. We would’ve NEVER done that.We were not given anything to tidy up. No broom, vacuum, no dishwasher detergent. Again for 9 days it would be nice to have something to tidy up with. Our friends brought us a rag & cleaner.Also lectured about how even though it’s a 6 bedroom they only allow use of 4. Still not sure what that was about.Not enough utensils for 6 people.

  "I regret that the entry code was sent later than expected, and I have already corrected this process so that codes will now be sent a day in advance. If there had truly been a strong odor in the home, the proper step would have been to immediately contact Evolve or myself so the matter could be addressed right away, rather than staying the full nine days and only raising it afterward. I am truly sorry you chose to speak up only on the platform instead of reaching out during your stay, as I am always available to resolve issues quickly.
  
  It is important to note that the room downstairs near the laundry area was clearly off limits, and entering it created a problem that required me to follow protocol and contact Evolve. As a host, I must protect both my family’s privacy and my guests’ comfort, and I will be updating my rules to state even more clearly that the only accessible space downstairs is the laundry room. If something is needed, a simple text or call is all it takes. 
  
  I know reviews can make or break a property, and I am fairly new to this system. I welcome feedback and will continue to learn from each experience, but I also want future guests to know that I take great pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable home. Other reviews reflect this, and I remain committed to ensuring every guest feels cared for. It is unfortunate that this review was written only after a long stay without raising concerns in real time, but I respect the process and will use it to improve. My priority will always be the comfort and satisfaction of those who stay in my home."
