  Kitchen is well stocked and has new appliances, the three bedrooms each had its own bathroom which was a plus, a large LR, it was a comfortable place for us. We did not use the pool or hot tub.

• Positive, Negative, and Cameras All Over

  Ok, the house is lovely. The pool is great. The host was a responsive and clear communicator.However,- the stove was broken. The oven door was locked and the electric igniter wouldclick constantly even if we were not using the range.- the kitchen is not well equipped for cooking. The only two pans were tiny omelette pans. The toaster is broken.- the awning on the porch doesn’t work which seemed east enough to fix.- several of the beds are very uncomfortable - I disclosed when booking that we were renting for a family gathering. We were eight guests. It was never specified that there was a limit on how many guests we could have. However, after checking in and asking about the broken appliances and mentioning we were hosting a birthday dinner the host took the opportunity to warn me of the eight person limit for the house (first time I had heard this) AND warn me that there are cameras all over the property. This was unnecessary and extremely off-putting. Which brings me to the cameras…- I completely understand the right of the owners to have security cameras in the front and sides of the building. However the two cameras recording any activity on the porch and in the pool is creepy and invasive. And being reminded of it is petty.

  Hi Andrew, we want all of our guests to find the perfect vacation rental for their needs, so we make sure that travelers know before they book that large events and parties are not permitted at this property. We also wanted to let you know that, due to capacity constraints with the septic system, we do have to be firm about this property's max capacity of 8 guests on the property at any given time. Additionally, we would like to bring your attention to the FAQ and Policies sections within the property description where we disclose the security cameras on site. We've followed up with the owner after reading your feedback and they would like to share the following:
  -We've looked into the igniter for the range and found that it clicks when the dial is turned to the setting to activate it and disengages when turned further or to the Off position
  -While one oven within the kitchen is currently waiting on parts, there is a full sized secondary oven for guests to use
  -We've taken care to make sure the kitchen is stocked with at least a full set of cookware, including additional larger pots and pans for guests to prepare family-sized meals
  -We've confirmed the toaster is working properly
  -While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

  We loved the house! Its architectural design, the amenities! It has everything! Great for all ages! located on huge surrounding property ! It was peace & quiet! and many more.....

• Summer in the country, but not boring!

  The house had everything you need to have a great family getaway. The kitchen appliances were all top of the line and the pool was heated and clean. The host was extremely attentive and the surrounding area had lots to do.
