  • Great stay, with a few hickups

    4/5

We had a great time, but there were a few problems with some of the appliances, and the pool could have used a cleaning. It was still fun, just not crystal clear.

Very secluded and lots to do in the area!

The house was clean, spacious, and in a lovely neighborhood surrounded by many trees. It is comfortable and has a table on the deck overlooking the pool, a nice outside area for guests to enjoy the beautiful setting. We did not use the pool, and it would need to be cleaned before anyone would have used it. Given we were there on Memorial Weekend, it may not have been prepped for summer. We did not use the grill, but there is one available on the deck. It indicates the property sleeps eight people, and it can. Regarding bathrooms, there is a sink and commode downstairs in the game room area with a large sectional couch. We were unable to find the linens for the couch sleepers. One shower is in the primary bathroom, and the other is off the main hallway. The main hallway bathroom has no shower curtain and is completely open; therefore, the floor gets pretty wet, even with a towel. Just be prepared for this to occur. And if guests need to use the primary bathroom, they must go through the primary bedroom. Be sure to bring any additional supplies you might need in the kitchen, such as paper towels, zip-lock bags, large trash bags, and paper supplies such as foil and plastic wrap.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Regina, we want to make vacation rental easy for everyone, and we're sorry if you were caught off guard. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - Our listing reflects the layout of the home, though we’re sorry if you were caught off-guard. We pride ourselves on being transparent and accommodating to all guests and would have been more than happy to walk you through the exact layout of the home before you booked.
    - We do keep a comforter in a basket by the couch in the den. We wish you had reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to send our cleaning crew to resolve your concerns and make your stay more comfortable.
    - As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the owner provides a starter amount of essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies, especially for longer stays or larger groups. While we try to accommodate all our guests' needs, we're sorry the complimentary supplies didn't meet your preferences.
    - We hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. We’d love to host you the next time you visit. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your review!

Our group of 4 couples enjoyed our stay. It is pet friendly and some in our group did have allergies to the previous pet dander. It was generally clean but needed an air purifier for previous smells like cigarettes not an air freshener. The oven and stove were not very user friendly but we did eventually figure it out. Overall it is a nice home and was a good size for our group.
