Wonderful Place with a Wonderful Host
5/5 To call the Mills at Green Hole unique is an understatement. There is a working mill.
The grounds alone are worth visiting, and the house is large and comfy. Captain Formel is friendly and attentive. No complaints and couldn't ask for more.
Wonderful long weekend
5/5 Our family had a wonderful time at The Mills ay Green Hole. We stayed a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The space was great for cooking meals, and the large dining table was great for games. Easy access to farm stands and grocery stores - so it was easy to grab anything we needed. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, each with window fans than provided nice white noise for sleeping.
The space just behind the house was great for lawn games, and we loved making campfires and listening to the creek. Our dogs to enjoyed the creek access too. The real gem of the place is green hole - amazingly refreshing two-tired swimming hole thats deep enough for cliff jumping and a rope swing.
If you have time, we also recommend doing a tour of the sawmill with Captain Steve . We learned a lot, and it was so cool to see how the water turbine provided power for so many different processes.
All in all, great trip!

Oasis in the Hudson Valley
5/5 We were a group of 13 adults, staying for a long weekend in the summer. The swimming hole, fire pit, grounds, and house overall were amazing. This would be a great place to visit year-round. It’s a bit of a drive from other towns, restaurants, bars, etc. and Ubers were not really a thing, so if you’re coming from the city be prepared to drive. It’s definitely the type of place where you could spend a few days on the property without leaving, though, and have an amazing time. Captain Stephen was very communicative and helpful and everything was great. We plan to come back next year!
