  Overall we loved this place.There were several issues throughout our stay that we opted to not have addressed. We were only there for 4 days and didn't want our quality family time interrupted with a maintenance person. One issue was related to the shower, the bath feature didn't work - not a big deal for us, another was that the dishwasher didnt work - that was a bit more of a hassle for us as we were making large meals and accumulated a lot of dishes, the last issue was that the door to the kitchen area didn't seal properly. This also wouldnt have been a big deal if the weather had been better. Unfortunately 3 of the four days we were there it rained and hailed and water would seep into the kitchen. The listing mentioned that certain things would be available on site but I usually bring my own cleaning supplies and such, though I did not bring anything to mop so we did what we could to maintain the floors while we were there but unfortunately they only provided one disposable mop pad. I also dont think their standards of cleanliness were up to par with ours as there were dead bugs EVERYWHERE. In every light fixture, every windowsill, etc. We brought so many unnecessary things because the home provided them without us knowing ahead of time (cornhole baords, chairs for a fire, etc.) I also didnt love having to walk through people's yards to get to the dock.Starrwas exlent and communicated well with us, even helping to find a boat launch for us to put our Pontoon in the lake.

• Weekend in the Finger Lakes

  This was a great location for our weekend away in the Finger Lakes. The listing was accurate and as other reviewers noted, the property is a little older with some appliances being fairly dated. There was plenty of cookware and supplies needed to make a few meals during our stay. Check-in was smooth and host was responsive!

• Accommodation could have been better

  Lovely scenery; lots of things to do in the vicinity; nice evenings at the fire ring ... but

  poorly equipped kitchen (no glasses for either water or wine;

  no way to boil water that does not taste like coffee;

  no ice cube tray;

  lots of frying pans but no pots to cook things like noodles; ...).

  Unexpected noise from Highway 54.

  Dead bugs in cups stored on an open shelf.

• Nice place but had a few problems

  There were several not so insignificant issues throughout our stay from literally upon arrival late at night through the last day but the fantastic Starr at Evolve took care of them.
