The cottage is quiet and relaxing, a great place for a family trip if you want to spend real quality time together without all of the day to day distractions. I’m sure it would also be a very fun place with friends in the summer, especially if you had a boat or kayaks. The dock is a lovely place to hangout and Larry is very quick to respond. He was very helpful and it was a great place to be.

So wanted to love this place... the location was private nestled among the pines right on the river. The views of the river from the deck as well as the many windows in the house were fantastic. The layout was great and the place was thoughtfully furnished and relatively clean - except for the carpets - alot of gross spots... even a spot cleaning would have made a huge difference! But the real deal breaker for us was the water... REALLY smelly. Hard to even take a shower! For me the minuses outweight the pluses. Wish it wasn't so...

This property is managed by a company not an individual like other VRBO properties I have been in. I emailed and called the contacts listed by the property management company 4 times and never heard back. when we arrived the house instructions say not to contact one of the 3 that I had already tried because they had "parted ways"There was no hot water for our first 24 hours as the breaker had been tripped and no one knew. It doesn't mention anywhere that the water is sulfur water and will smell like a fart if you don't run a lot of water. The dock is not described properly or shown in pictures so you can see that it is not usable during low water conditions. Due to how close tankers pass this house my boat received thousands of dollars in damages when it went under the dock and got thrashed by oil tanker wakes. The neighbor lady was taking pictures of us and our vehicles when we were trying to fit our trucks and trailers into the parking area which is tight. She was taking pictures and pointing us out to neighbors as if we were doing something wrong. We made the best of it and had a good time but we will not be returning to this property. I will also be checking to see if a property is managed by a management company. I do not believe that was mentioned in the property listing on VRBO untill after we had reserved our vacation.
