After a long drive from Tucson, we arrived at our destination. Got lost along the way but, we found it. Upon driving up, my Aunt and I thought, WTH!!! Looks are very deceiving especially driving around the town trying to find our way. I contacted the host and she graciously walked us through and gave us the history. Very interesting and historic. The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed as the bedding is very comfy!! It turns out, this is a magical place. It is a perfect spot to explore New Mexico. We went to Santa Fe and Taos but we found out we need more. Next year, we need at least a week at this same exact spot!!

Kathryn is a wonderful host. She is very responsive to all requests. She is so very knowledgeable about Santa Cruz and every place within 100 miles it seems. We loved her suggestions for food and touring. She has been involved in restorations of the church nearby and gave us a private tour! If you are looking for a place to stay that is unique and reflects the local culture, this is a great place. That is what we wanted. If you would like a sterile hotel room type place, go someplace else. Here you will enjoy artifacts and furniture and a culturally fascinating location!
