Updated Ruidoso Cabin w/ Spacious Deck & View

• Terrible stay

  The first thing we noticed was spiderwebs in every corner and covering the porch. There was also so many bees that it kept us from being able to enjoy the outside area. When we entered the first thing we noticed was the heat in the cabin. It had to have been over 90° in there so we opened every window and every outside window seal was again covered with spiderwebs and dirt. I emailed the host and called her twice and never got a response the entire weekend. We were just hoping maybe there was some box fans somewhere that we could use to try to cool off the house. We couldn’t stay inside because of the heat and we couldn’t go outside because of the bees. We ended up going to Walmart to purchase two box fans to try and cool down the house. I cannot believe that the host never contacted me on this entire stay, we have never experienced this in Ruidoso with any Airbnb. There was no hairdryer, which was shocking to me so I had to dry my hair with a box fan that I had to purchase. The kitchen was so sparse, there was no amenities of anything like foil or plastic or even a baggie. Most Airbnb‘s provide those items. The refrigerator did not get cold so we had to leave our food inside a cooler and had to purchase ice so our food didn’t spoil. The couch was extremely small and uncomfortable. Both mattresses on the beds were hard. None of the plugs in the home worked to charge our phones, including the one by the lamp that had a charging port. We had to charge our phones in our vehicles. I had the lamp turned on in the extra bedroom when I was going to sleep, and the entire wall was covered in spiderwebs. I will provide photos. There was. “Dawn” soap but it didn’t even make bubbles so I’m not sure what it really was. We had to reverse most of the fans because they weren’t even going the right way in the home. I felt like we spent more time cleaning, fixing and purchasing items we shouldn’t have had to then we did enjoying the property. We never even used the table because of the bees. I cannot believe you would have a property that doesn’t have air-conditioning. We have yet to hear from the “host”, thank goodness it wasn’t an issue like getting locked out because we would’ve never gotten back in. We have stayed in Alto, Nogal, and numerous times in Ruidoso and never had any of these issues. We were always greeted to clean homes, usually a welcome basket. This was very disappointing trip. You should stay in this home and experience this property for yourselves

  Overall a good stay. Beds a little firm and pillows as well. No hair dryer. Stairs difficult to access in dark.

  Great cabin in Upper Canyon. Secluded but only a 5 minute drive away from everything. Plenty of wildlife running around!
