Very homey, rustic, comfortable cabin. Clearly loved by the longtime owners. Lovely deck, great views, loads of birds. Up high, bordered by Natl Forestland in back. Lots of space between cabins - you're not looking into someone else's house or window when you open your door. Very dog friendly - gates on the deck so it can be closed off. Good sized fenced area adjacent to back door. Very clean, well stocked, good bed, comfy furnishings. Favorite place was the deck - I stayed out there most of the time and enjoyed the cool breeze and beautiful views. Cabin is up high. Lots of trees.

Nice, comfortable home tucked away in the woods. Nice gravel road running to the home. 1/2 mile further and the road ends at several hiking railheads, which were really nice. One note...don't take the first turn your GPS tells you to take (one lane & narrow). Go down further to the other end of Jarratt Loop - much nicer and wider road and better approach to the drive way..

We really enjoyed staying at Polly's Perch. It was everything a family cabin should be considering the location, layout and amenities. The porch was peaceful with many visiting hummingbirds.
I rated the cabin 4 stars for the following:
1. Lots of dust in the cabin. We all had issues with sneezing and waking up congested. Look under the beds and you'll see the dust accumulation.
2. Low water pressure in the shower, but bathroom sink makes a complete mess from the high water pressure. Loft bathroom sink still leaks (previous review).
3. Mold around shower and toilet.
4. Loft carpet is covered in stains.
5. Couch has cigarette burns.
I mention those items because renter's pay for cleaning and damage protection. We should not have to clean or worry about previous damage to the cabin.
We really enjoyed the secluded area but, also being a quick drive to town.
