• Roomy with great views could use some upkeep

  We had 9 adults and 2 small children and the house was the perfect size for us. It's in a wonderful and convenient location and the view off the back deck is remarkable, there was plenty of parking and the kitchen is well stocked for meal prep. The great rooms is great for TV watching and playing games. Upon arrival we discovered an issue with HVAC, and property management was responsive and had a repair technician over right away. Overall, however, we feel we left the property in much better condition than we found it. We had to dust all bedrooms and clean the bathroom and kitchen counters and appliances before using them. Cooktop had greasy smears from previous guests. Hadn't been cleaned very well, if at all. Dryer hose in utility room was not connected to dryer at all and so was not venting to the outside (very dangerous) so we got behind the unit and facilitated that fix ourselves and cleaned up all of the lint that had accumulated - multiple (4) burnt out light bulbs in kitchen, coffee maker out of order, no fire extinguisher anywhere in a house that has open flame gas range (I'm sure insurance carrier wouldn't like that), no wash cloths in any of the three bathrooms. Several of the Beds could sure use mattress replacement and/or frame repair. Local management was informed of all these things during our stay. This could go from being an OKAY property to being an AWESOME property with just a little more hands on care and attention to upkeep and cleanliness. I would challenge the management / Owner to spend a night in the house and sleep in the beds themselves. We own and manage a short term rental ourselves and that's what we do. Inspect what you expect. For $700 a night we had every right to expect better.

  The house space and property location were the best features of this stay. Cleanliness was sub-optimal upon arrival and the house appeared dated and unkept. Some kitchen drawers were broken and were not able to slide or close properly. Roof shingles and debris were thrown by the hot tub area, perhaps from the needed roof repairs. The bath tubs do not have plug stops, so if you have kids that take baths - bring your own or consider showers. The beds/mattresses were old and uncomfortable. For the price of the stay I expected more quality from the basic accommodations.

  The stay was good. Communication with property manager was super quick and very attentive. Quality of mattresses in all rooms was awesome. It could have been cleaner and some dining seating outdoors would have been great to have. But overall, the home is good for large groups.

  Very spacious, home was stocked with all needed amenities. Home was close to town and comfortable. Spacious rooms and closet space. Large driveway and multiple access roads to the house.
