  I recently had the privilege of visiting the residence of Casa Tranquila, which is less than a 10-minute drive North of Taos, NM. What an amazing residence. As soon as you arrive and enter you are embraced with the charm and ambiance of South Western architecture, historical art work and comfortable accommodating furnishings. The structure is of adobe style with thick walls which literally block all outside noise and provides an unmeasurable amount of peace, quiet and serenity. Great space to read, contemplate life and just chill with a smile. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern appliances, cutlery and serving utensils which would please the most particular chief. There are two bedrooms on opposite sides of the house with separate bathrooms which affords kids or couples privacy or alone time. There are two family seating rooms. One of which has a couch with a pull out bed and pot belly stove and the other a large screen TV and fire place as well. There is an additional adobe fireplace outside under an attached covered veranda which includes a BBQ pit, dining table and seating to enjoy an evening under the stars or a family gathering. Casa Tranquila is a place dreams are made of and fond memories forged. Additionally, it is only an 1 ½ hour’s drive to Santa Fe, NM and Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa which are both worth the visit. And if you are a skier, you are in luck. The slopes nearby and calling your name. I suggest you check out Casa Tranquila on your next visit to the South West. You will not be disappointed. I give it a 10 out of 5.
