El Prado Rocks
4/5 We enjoyed 5 nights at El Prado. Accommodations for 6 were perfect for us. While iron stove does heat the house up, our crew was still a little cold for the trip. Also, was expected to harvest kindling from the yard to start the fireplace. Other than those 2 items, we thought everything was great. House is a little out of Taos with most places in Taos being a 15-20 minute drive. Loved the Adobe style.

From the Owner: "I am happy you enjoyed your stay. We try to keep fire starters stocked for each guest along with firewood. We installed an automatic starter on the fireplace to make lighting it as easy as possible. We also sent you a video prior to your stay to help understand the stove. I apologize if there was any inconvenience. We hope you will choose to stay with us again in the future."

Cozy adobe home
4/5 The setting was beautiful - 360 degree views of the mountains, in what felt like a remote and quiet area, yet you are only a 10-15 minute drive of Taos, and only 10 minutes to the Rio Grande gorge bridge. The home was an authentic adobe style, and was spacious yet cozy. However, a few basic amenities would have made it more comfortable. There is a laundry machine, but no laundry detergent, for example. The adobe style does retain heat, but it was still fairly cold at night, and the thermostat controls were locked, so we had to message the host to request that they manually increase temperatures. Otherwise a comfortable stay overall.
