  The porch railings were not secured to the bases & were loose when holding on. The picket fence had many missing pieces. The house was extremely clean. The kitchen was well equipped, including a Keurig coffeemaker with plenty of coffee pods, as well as snacks & beverages in the fridge.. The dining room & living room furniture was in good condition. The mattresses were comfortable. There was no chair in the bedroom & the bed was so high it was not possible to sit on it. The "chest of drawers" was made of fabric-covered cardboard so it couldn't hold any weight. Net, luggage had to go on the floor & you had to dress/undress standing up. The only bed pillows were inside shams, & did not have pillowcases. The bathrooms had standard soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. There were bath towels & washcloths (not cotton), but no hand towels. Lastly, there were many posted signs about what not to do, so the atmosphere was not welcoming, despite "welcome" signs. The property served our purpose of being close to family, but we wouldn't choose to stay there again.

  decent place. very minimal. too many signs. Poison ivy should not be used as an ornamental plant!!! there was poison ivy around the driveway and the front steps

• Clean, mediocre property

  Two cracked windows, not enough seating, sheets did not fit the bed, when we got there there were three mugs and two glasses but the host brought those plus some extra towels and blankets when I asked. The downstairs had no electrical outlet in the bathroom for a blow dryer, there was no dishwasher or drying rack in the kitchen. One problem, they rented out the basement to somebody else and three evenings and two mornings we could smell marijuana coming through the vents. it is a convenient location to get on the ferry to New York. I guess if you’re just looking for a basic place to stay, this would do.

  - We don't advertise or mention having a dishwasher in our listing.
  - We do disclose in the listing that there are other tenants in the basement unit to provide transparency to our guests.
  - We have a strict policy against smoking, including marijuana, on the property.
