  The property itself was a fun eclectic vibe. I would say the listing is accurate, however there were several issues with my stay. It was late and extremely dark outside when I arrived and it was challenging to navigate the stairs and door entry without lighting. I encountered multiple spiders and closet moths in the unit. The chaise lounge chair is dirty and long overdue for cleaning. There are two windows to the unit, and one of them holds the window unit air conditioner. Oddly, there are long heavy drapes that hang in front of the air conditioner and block the cool air flow into the unit, so you have to choose between privacy or AC. Because of this, the room was hot and first night's sleep was poor. On day 2, I folded up the bottom of drape and set it on top of the AC unit which improved the AC performance. There is a washer and dryer in the unit, but they are locked. There were issues with communication as the property management company (Evolve) does not communicate any check in details or other communications in the VRBO app, and I did not have easy access to email on my trip. This created some problems with the entire stay, from check in to check out. Fortunately, Leah left the door unlocked for me and I was able to get in, as the key was not accessible without the code and check in instructions. I asked Evolve to post instructions and replies in the VRBO app, but they proceeded to send the check out instructions via email only, which I found after we had already left.

  We’re sorry to hear your stay didn't meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to clarify the following:
  – We were in contact with you ahead of the stay and, knowing you would be arriving late, set the porch light on a timer until 2 AM and left the door unlocked to make entry easier, which we shared with you. While the road is naturally dark, there are lights along the walking paths leading to the entrance.
  – Evolve uses the email you provide in your booking details to send all check-in and check-out details ahead of the stay, and communicate with guests. We encourage guests to check their email inbox for important updates, as in-app communication through Vrbo isn’t currently available.
  – The drape in front of the A/C unit can be easily adjusted to improve airflow as needed. The unit is positioned for privacy, and there are no neighboring windows with direct lines of sight into the space. We don’t offer a washer or dryer. This is clearly noted in the listing and shared in the pre-stay information.
  – We’ll be taking a closer look at the condition of the chaise lounge. While occasional pests can appear, we maintain regular pest control to keep the property protected. The unit is located near a wooded area, and if windows or doors are left open, bugs can enter the space more easily.
  As is evidenced by the many glowing reviews, the owner is accustomed to providing excellent experiences, and we look forward to this property continuing to host many satisfied visitors.

  Clean, quaint and efficient for a couple. Just what we needed for our visit. Kitchen and batroom were a bit small for our comfort level but our daughter's place in Lambertville had the room for that. Perfect reading nook and would love to use the wood burning stove during the cooler months but parking might get very tricky if that steep & narrow road gets slippery.Overall, we really liked this cute little getaway.   I had the amazing opportunity of renting this charming apartment and meeting the lovely owner and host, Leah. The home is located off the main road yet easily accessible to the town of Lambertville and only a stone's throw across the river to the quaint town of New Hope. There are many opportunities for shopping and dining. I included some quiet time to read, journal, relax, and reflect. This property has it all!!
