• Couples Retreat for us... sand and waterfront right at your fingertips!

  The Google initially took us to a neighbor's but they helped redirect: the rental is located in Pierce's Point/off same turn as King Nummy Campground, soooo scenic on bayside waterfront facing the sunset. Beautiful house, perfect for couple or small group. Even though the rental shares the deck and parking with neighboring unit, there was plenty of space and seating across 2 deck levels- couldn't feel more private honestly. Definitely want to rent this when it's good weather as you're right on the water and using outdoor stairs between the 2 floors.

  In-addition to what's pictured, the kitchen had a rotisserie air fry oven, micro, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, small 2-burner stovetop, all fix-ins/cookware and dishware needed... water filter pitcher and tank for cups of water 👍 also had complimentary water bottles (sink water was foggy).

  The guest contact was responsive though maintenance and cleaning were away like us for Labor Day, but we'd no big issues. My only regrets were not staying longer and not sunning more RIGHT at the property/walking the beach there over driving to tourist spots 🏖️ (close to Cape May, Stone Harbor, Wildwood).

• Views amazing/Home disgusting

  Our experience was over all good. That being said, most time was spent outside and the quiet area was comforting. The view is very nice and would be even nicer if you could see out the filthy windows. That brings me to the house. It was very dirty and I mean dirty. We were told we had to wait for the home to be cleaned before entry and did receive a text from our contact that it was done and we could enter. Upon entry we found the floors to be sandy with cobwebs and dead bugs under most all the furniture. Ok, no complaints were made there was a vacuum so I ran it. When we turned down the bed we found the sheets in horrible condition! They clearly weren't laundered with blood, dirt, and bodily fluid marks about. I did call the contact and received a text that clean sheets were dropped off. We looked outside and at the door was a plastic bag with 2 sets of sheets balled up. They didn't smell fresh but were certainly better than what was on the bed. I found it strange that whoever dropped off the sheets didn't even knock or speak to us. Over all the place needs a good cleaning. Walls need wiped down, windows need washed, and curtains need cleaned. Upstairs curtains have dead bugs about that you can clearly see because they are sheers. On our last day there I tried to fix the curtain upstairs covering the sliding door to the deck. It was tied into a knot at the side. When I undid the knot, I saw what appeared to me to be dried vomit. My guess the knot was for disguise. All that being said, I feel as though I should not have been charged a cleaning fee, and if you're not going to have clean linens then don't offer it. I would have been happy to bring my own. When people spend their hard earned money to rent your place they deserve it to be clean.

• Way too expensive for the comfort provided

  The first thing to say is that the view is perfect for enjoying the sunset. The location is good if you want to find peace and quiet, but the house is still far from everything. As for the house itself, it's a long way from the description. Let's just say the photographer was good... In fact, this house is in need of serious renovation. Comfort is not at all up to the asking price. Several lights didn't work and the air-conditioning makes an unbearable noise. If you want to do a bit of cooking, you'd better watch out: the appliances are old and the cutlery and plates come straight from Goodwill. We also had to cohabit with tons of ants everywhere (kitchen, bathroom...).

  The plumbing in the bedroom bathroom also needs unclogging. When we arrived, toilet paper was missing. Fortunately, the agency that manages the house was very responsive and always replied quickly to our messages. In the end, location isn't everything. Okay, the view is breathtaking, but the asking price in relation to the services provided is totally obcene.

  We will not return to this house and strongly advise against it.

  - We were both surprised and disappointed to hear your feedback as we were in constant communication with you during your stay.
  - The listing photos are intended to accurately reflect the property, but we’re sorry if the home didn’t match your expectations. We have made recent updates, including new carpet, chairs, and kitchen appliances.
  - We were unaware of any concerns with the A/C or plumbing during your stay and wish you had brought it to our attention during one of our many conversations. The A/C is relatively new, and we haven’t received complaints about noise before or since your stay. We’ll be sure to have it inspected to ensure it’s functioning properly.
  - The plumbing was checked after your departure, and no issues were found, but we’ll continue to monitor this to prevent future problems.
  - We were perplexed by your comment about several lights not working during your stay. When you reached out you had stated it was only the porch light that was not working. We promptly responded and offered to send the maintenance team to address the issue. To which you politely declined as you did not wish to have any interruptions to your stay.
  - While the property is sprayed regularly for pests, we will have an additional treatment done to address any ant issues. We encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can promptly address any issues or concerns.
  - It is important to note, that we provide a starter supply of paper products, including toilet paper. However, when you reached out to request additional toilet paper, we promptly responded and sent the cleaner with extra toilet paper and a bottle of wine as a gesture of goodwill.

• Great views and quiet location

  Overall a nice place. There were ants in the kitchen which brings the cleanliness rating down. The property description is accurate. We did expected towels included would also mean hand towels for bathroom and dish towels for kitchen but these were not provided. So in that the description was not clear. The beach area could use a little upkeep (removing debris). It was nice to be at a quiet, relaxing spot to get away from east side traffic and noise - but close to get to everything like Wildwood boardwalk and restaurants or Cape May beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
