Enjoyed the tranquil area of the lake with easy access. to main body of water. Husband enjoyed the fishing off the dock and in the canoe.

  • Cozy Lakeside Cabin with Amazing Kayaking

    5/5

We chose this cabin for the location, which was absolutely perfect for us! We were able to mountain bike and hike on a trail system accessed from right across the road. The kayaking was exceptionally beautiful on the river side of the property. We also enjoyed our outdoor dinners in front of the fire pit overlooking the water, which was a huge bonus. The host, Tom, is a super nice guy and gave us great tips about where to go on our adventures during our stay.

Positives first. The bed was comfortable and the location on the river was awesome. We enjoyed the use of the canoe and the paddle boat. The owner lives next door and is very friendly, but that is where the positives end. The water in this cabin is literally a light brown in color. It is filtered river water. The owner does supply bottled water. If that is not bad enough the water pump does not supply enough water to do dishes, take a shower longer than 2 minutes, or even flush the toilet. If the toilet does flush, the pump runs from 20 to 40 minutes and no water can be used until it stops. If you try to use water while the pump is running you get a bunch of air in the pipes that spray water in all directions at a faucet. The is a bad odor in the cabin that resembles a musty foul odor. Even having all the windows open still did not remove all this odor. There was no wifi available and the cell service is very week in this area. There is a flat screen tv, but no cable service to this cabin. Dvds or vhs cassettes can be played on the tv.

  • Charming cabin with great host

    5/5

My family (two adults, two kids under 6) had a wonderful time at this rustic waterfront cabin. We fished off the docks, went on so many kayak and paddle boat rides, enjoyed the beautiful views of the wooded banks across the way, and stargazed at night (we saw the Milky Way!).

And when an unexpected problem arose with the water pressure, the owner swooped in and fixed it in record time! He also went above and beyond to ensure it didn’t impact our vacation.

If you are looking for an escape to nature, but with all the fun of lake life, book this place! We will be back!!

  • Absolutely lovely stay

Amazing, cozy cottage with a lot of ways to spend the day. The owner was always available and very helpful. Adored the amenities (kayaks, well-stocked kitchen, fire pit, radio). Looking forward to staying again!
