Lake was absolutely worth the trip. Even had kayaks and canoes.
I give this place a lower rating just because the house was not up to par. It was dirty, had a weird smell, and there was mold. Housekeeping can do better

My husband and I had a really good time! Our cabin was set back a bit so it was very quiet and peaceful. John was super nice ! And generous with his lake toys. Great place to reconnect. Would love to visit again!

The Good:
The location is beautiful. You have a great view of the lake and mountains from the cabin. We loved having the firepit just outside our cabin as well. The owners were very friendly. The shower stall is very small, but has nice hot water with good pressure. Bring your own toiletries.
The Not-So-Good:
The cabin had a very funky smell. We ran a diffuser throughout our stay to try to mask it, but it didn't really help much. The kitchen area and fridge in particular smelled pretty bad. We saw a mouse a few times during our weekend so we kept all our food well sealed and in cabinets as much as possible. The beds are very very uncomfortable. One of them was so bad that my teenage son chose to sleep on the couch instead. It basically feels like springs wrapped in fabric.
Bring your own sponge and dish soap. There were some used sponges when we arrived, but we went out to get our own as well as some more dish soap. The kitchen doesn't have much if you plan on cooking. The owners said we could walk over to ask to borrow anything we needed. We borrowed a couple of things which they were very nice about, but I would have preferred to just bring my own. There isn't even a decent set of knives or scissors to use.
There were plenty of towels, but once wet they all smelled of mildew.
We really enjoyed our stay, but just be aware that it is a no frills place. Bring air freshener. No tv here, bring your own.

East facing location across road from the lake. Good selection of toys, including 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boats, SUP and rowboat.
The two bedroom cottage sits back on the property and is definitely rustic. Lots of deferred maintenance on older cottage. Floors have quite a bit of tilt as building must be settling on the south side. Both bedrooms have full size beds with ancient mattresses. Some kitchen items missing. We could not find an ice cream scoop or cover for one of the pots. Ultra thin toilet tissue in bath. Lots of chairs outside but only two lounge chairs.

Hi Charles, we're happy you enjoyed being so close to the lake! We’re so glad you enjoyed the view, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to share the following:
- While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.
- As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the homeowner provides a starter amount of toiletries and other essential supplies for our guests. Generic products may be offered at times to accommodate all guest comfort and preferences. We apologize if the products provided did not fit your needs.
- Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible. Thank you for sharing your review!
Nice, affordably priced getaway. All the amenities in the world as far as lake life goes. My family of 5 had a great time.
