  • What a great spot!!!

    5/5

We had a great time! Swimming, paddle boards and kayaking! Grilled out dinners! This property provides everything! Tablecloth for picnic table, all kitchen supplies, grill supplies, and the list goes on! The nights got cool which was good. There are only 2 a/c’s in the house. Not only is this house dog friendly, but they provided dog bowls and an outdoor leash! My kids are 19, 17 and 7 and each one of them had a blast!

  • Relaxing and quiet

    5/5

This is a restored/renovated cabin from maybe the 1920s, original windows and doors add to the charm. Old fashioned flavor of a family lake house, nestled in the pine trees, on a clear, quiet pond. Waterfront landscaped for privacy, with stacked stone walls and steps, and a small deck and chairs for watching fantastic sunsets while enjoying your favorite adult beverage, or sitting out with a cup of coffee as the early morning mist slowly dissipates, the birds singing and the loons calling. Has a kayak (we brought ours anyway), canoe, paddle boat, and two paddle boards, and just take the stone steps right into the water for a swim. Water is clean, clear, and warm by early August. Despite several cabins/cottages/houses in view on the shoreline, it was very quiet - a few kayaks, canoes, rowboats with trolling motors, and only one powered party boat with a small family. The Loons come to visit as well as serenade you in the morning. Firepit and gas grill mean outdoor cooking or evening campfire is easy. On a well-maintained dirt road in the woods that surrounds the pond - my dog enjoyed taking walks there and on a trail to a neighboring lake. The cabin is in good repair, comfortable, and pet friendly - even has a dog table and bowls. The living room/library has a stone fireplace and comfortable couch, and the lake room has amazing views of the water, both recently restored and decorated. Kitchen and bath are fine, functional, equipped with everything you need, although not large. Bedroom is smallish but is just fine. Remember, it is a camp, not a luxury condo in Hyannis. Smart TV works - remember to bring your streaming account and passwords, if you want more viewing options. Wi-Fi provided and works well - good, because the local cell service drops from 4 bars to 1 bar at random during the day. The boat house / bunk house that overlooks the pond would be ideal for kids or grandchildren.

If you need a 12-foot granite countertop kitchen with high end appliances, a jacuzzi tub with a shower big enough for 4 people, and a 72-inch TV with surround sound, this place is not for you. It's a nice old-school camp on a lake, clean, in good shape, charming, with a very nice waterfront, and so relaxing to stay at.

Well-appointed cottage, quiet, lovely spot on small lake. Too bad the weather did not cooperate...didn't have a chance to use kayak or canoe.

Owners very responsive to any questions.

Exactly as described. Kayaking, paddle boarding, paddle boat, everything you would want at the lake. The bunk house and water trampoline were big hits as well. Already talking about a return trip!!
