  • Wonderful location

    5/5

The property was as advertised, there was plenty of space, even for a two year to run around. Good location for families with young kids. Super easy to get to story lane d and other near by attractions. Would definitely recommend.

  • Great home for large group

    5/5

We had a great stay with a family of 7. Property description was spot-on. House was clean and comfortable; conveniently located in an upscale and quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space for our big group (all adults). Would have certainly preferred that linens were supplied, but not a big issue for us since we drove to location (would not have felt the same if we needed to bring extra bag on flight).

  • I WISH IT WAS WORTH THE $$$$

    3/5

did this review into 2 parts. us: 3 families/ 6 adults, 5 kids 8-12. pluses: *timely, helpful communication with local “guest coordinator” Linda who allowed us to check in early at 2 if needed and out at 10:30 which was so helpful managing 5 kids and 6 adults getting out on time. *good amount of common space and comfortable bedding. it’s a split, go in front door to entry way, up 5 stairs to living room/kitchen areas/access to deck or down 5 stairs to 3 bedrooms. *nice size kitchen/prep area with everything you needed ! *2 full baths kept waiting to a minimal *rear deck for hanging out *toiletries in bathroom if needed *a/c (upper common space only) was great during warner days.minuses: *property itself needs some major cosmetic updating to make this 5* and worth the money paid. *lower level has a musty smell as rugs are older throughout. (didn’t walk barefoot on lower level) *queen front bedroom had no screen so wasn’t able to get fresh air espec at night. this was overall opinion of all 6 adults, 2 with asthma. one had to buy allergy meds to help. other used inhaler frequently. so point is, if you have asthma/sensitive to smell, consider it. *light fixture is outdated in lower bathroom and hangs to low in front of mirror. *oversized couch: kids did use however awkward for adults in such tight quarters for feet to not touch/overlap, not trip over someone’s feet. narrow for sitting facing each other. it also is very old, musty smelling as well. should really be replaced with something more functional for comfortable sitting.*above the island sitting area is some metal ductwork. it is covered in dust. should be cleaned frequently. *a/c vent is up high build into wall and also covered in dust. needs to be cleaned. *one family brought house fan for bedroom however other two fans (box fan and regular table fan) are also caked with dust and we didn’t want to use them as lower level was already musty. had other reviewers been as in-depth in these details we probably would have chose someplace else. now most people/guest service coordinators would say why didn’t you contact us? when you are only there for 2 days and you want to make the best out of the situation, you just deal. and that’s what we did. we did have a great time as we are all best friends but the general consensus was it was not worth the $$$$ we spent for 2 nights and we would not stay again.

    Manager's Response:

Response from owner: "Hi Kelly– Thank you for the detailed review. We take feedback seriously to help improve our home for future stays. We strive to do everything possible to improve and provide an enjoyable stay. We have shared this feedback with the current cleaning crew so they can look into the items mentioned. Since the pandemic, help is not easy to come by, but we are happy to say we have recently acquired an additional professional cleaning and carpet crew to perform more frequent deep cleans of all areas of the house. We apologize for any discomfort. Again, thank you for your feedback."

  • Quick Getaway

    3/5

We went up for a quick getaway with our kids and my in-laws for a Story Land trip. Checking in was super easy and the open living space was perfect! Definitely not anything fancy, but did the trick for having a space to hangout between outings and to sleep. The AC was also key during the hot summer heat. You do have to bring your own linens which is a bummer just because it’s an added thing to have to pack (and with kids there is already enough), but not a deal-braker. Overall a pretty average place to stay

From the owner: "Hi Erika, thanks for your review! Bringing your own linens was established by our cleaning crew due to Covid precautions. We are currently working to update the policy, and we're aiming to provide linens in the near future so that guests don't have to. We understand it's not ideal to have an additional thing to pack for a trip. We hope to see you again soon!"

  • Group friendly home

Good home for larger group. Nice entertaining space. Not well appointed with kitchen equipment .Bringing own linens was difficult.

Response from owner: "Hi Cathy - thanks for the feedback. Please let us know how we could improve the kitchen equipment. We do provide all essential kitchen essentials to cook with. Bringing your own linens was a COVID precaution without a cleaning crew. We are aiming to provide linens for guests in the near future since we know it is not ideal to provide your own. We hope to see you again soon!"
